With so much shit that is being read here lately, the only thing they are going to do is that Rec does not enter here in the forum anymore and I think it will be worse for those of us who like his work
Its on steam too so i can imagine that its triple the trash if he reads steam forumsWith so much shit that is being read here lately, the only thing they are going to do is that Rec does not enter here in the forum anymore and I think it will be worse for those of us who like his work
Why should it be completely unacceptable to need more than 6 months for an update? We often have to wait years for sequels to movies, books or games and yet we usually come to terms with it.6 months is normally completely unacceptable, but when there are serious computer problems that is not at all the dev's fault. I'm hoping soon for either here or WTAGTH. Or both.

If someone supports the developer, but cannot cope with these waiting times, then he is free to withdraw his support again. Ridiculously, the loudest people are usually those who have probably never donated a single cent to a developer in their life
I think some people don't understand the concept behind Patreon and think that their financial support gives them automatically the right to regular "fast" update-intervals. Because of the financial support of the donors (incidentally, that is what they really are), the developer does not become an employee who has to do work on time for the "payment".
In some cases developers can actually live very well on these donations and then concentrate more on their projects instead of regular work, but that's not always the case. In addition, there is the factor of real life including family, which all the complainers like to ignore.
I think you didn't quite understand me, in my example it was about the time needed and not the financial resources.Movies, books and games are supported by sudios/etc with many millions of dollars for guranteed releases. These sort are by not rich people to be released a few months at a time.
What agreement is that? Patreon/SS are not storefronts. You don't purchase a finished product in exchange for your money. You are choosing to support someone, and just as that support can be withdrawn at any time, you have no right to a product (exception: when someone on Patreon includes a tangible reward for a certain level of support, e.g., join at the $20 level and I will send you a mug with a picture of the main girl on it - I would argue in that instance you do have some sort of claim, although I don't know what the legal status would be). The power is all with the person supporting on Patreon/SS, who can choose to cancel at anytime for any reason, but there is nothing that says the person being supported owes anyone a finished game. A designer who doesn't actually produce anything will quickly lose supporters (or so you would think, but people who continue to support someone who doesn't actually do anything have only themselves to blame).Agreed but with an agreemnent not to abandon.
Free tip for people who get bothered by such behavior: you can ignore any user you want. If some guy writes a wall of text complaining about a freaking amateur porn game update taking too long to come out or god forbid there is something resembling ntr(whatever that even means) you should block him. That person is not thinking with his head and you should not allow him to mess with yours. The problem is you underestimate the tenacity of an internet mob.
Just look at the popular threads for AWAM, Milfy City, FoTM, etc.; They're goddamn breeding grounds for piranha frenzies that devolves into obsession & update conspiracy theories. I agree the updates are at the developer's leisure whenever they're ready, but at some point, the general public will lose their goddamn shit & start painting both title & author in a very negative light that is just hard to washout. It gets worse when randos start grandstanding till they're blue in the face shouting "MILKING" all over the pages like a meme. I hope Rec lights a fire under himself before his game does become a bad memory.
well sure except for that patreon would need to change its rules and don't see that happening. 1 dev who vanished long ago still earns 77 bucks from patreon (2 months ago it was bit over 80 bucks) while at highest he earned near 1k bucks (was still making game) and patreon gets its share of that so don't see patreon changing its rules anytime soon. kickstarter etc have had their own scammers but on much higher scale (moneywise) than on patreon.I do think Patreon should notify when there isn't an update within about 4 months and demand an explanation. If it goes beyond 6 another one should be sent. If not answered or if no update before much longer dev should be banned from Patreon and their post deleted. Abandoning a game or milking should not be tolerated. In this game's case there is a valid explanation.
Rec engages quite a lot on his discord server, not noticed any issues with lack of news ...yes recreation has valid reason but news once in a while wouldn't hurt.
And here in this very thread as well!Rec engages quite a lot on his discord server...
