Could be a technical thing. Like it's easier to add the menu button first and then set what it links to later, rather than building the entire rest of the game first and then going back to edit the original menu.Why did you even include the menu entry for Rachel's Story if the content for it doesn't even exist yet?
Or it could just be an organizational thing. Sort of like a reminder to the dev to keep it in mind as a goal, combined with a tease to the player that it'll eventually be an option (which will presumably allow you to see the same story from a different perspective).

This and corrupted downloads are sometimes mistakes you can find when using nopy. I suggest you try again later or use another host.

The MEGA link is also being a bitch. It's downloading, but at like 50 Kb/s - 9 hour download, nope.. no thanks. Usually with Mega, I get 3-4 Meg down. With Nopy, 30-40 Meg down.
Update: after about 10 mins, Mega started flowing again. Nopy still broken.

I must admit i really like this game, characters, design and storywise. But i can't help complaining about the unavoidable sex scenes. In general i think there shouldn't be any unless it's strongly connected to the story and this seems to be the case, yet, why can't you avoid to molest MC's stepmother? Really? Why it's always the motherly figure when you can't avoid sex scenes? It's a major offputting, imho.

VNs in general have a lot less choice than Adult Games
And they still vary from one to another
The story in this needs some things to happen or the alternate path is the main story doesn't happen. So it isn't uncommon to see things happen you didn't choose when the story drives them.
There are games out there that are clear about higher levels of choice you might like.
But this isn't going to change.

Indeed, as i said, "unless it's strongly connected to the story". But in general i take it as a symptom at misleaded design. As i often point, VNs are in the "choose your own adventure" category of games. Therefore they are supposed to let you choose your own adventure as much as the platform allows (which, yes, it's not much to begin with but still a dev should make the most of it). Since those are erotic/porn/dating simulator games, "your own adventure" orbits around to which LI you will pursuit. So, in general, "you WILL pursuit this LI and maybe some other" is not a good approach. IMHO.
