Does anyone know if Bad memories ( v0.7.1 and v0.7.6 ) are the same?

Let me say I'm doing something wrong after finishing v0.7.1 and wanted to play v0.7.6 I didn't get any further.

Please do make a habit of checking everything about the original post as much as possible before asking questions, not just for this game/post, But for any game/post on this site.

And whilst I'm at it, Do also try to search for possible answers using the search function in the top right (Scroll all the way up on the page and it should be there, doesn't show when you've scrolled down on the page)

And if you still haven't found any answers to what you're searching for, then go ahead and ask


I would like to apologize if this post seems a bit passive-aggressive, It's because it kind of is, But it is a little irritating when something so instantly find-able is asked about.

If the content you see ends at the same time as the previous version you're asking about, it's more than likely that the new content in question is for a different path to the one you've chosen

When I wanted to play v0.7.6 I got the following message
This is the end of the current version, a quick save has been created.
Does anyone know if they are the same versions?

when you load the quick save of .7.1 in .7.6, scroll back once.

If the content you see ends at the same time as the previous version you're asking about, it's more than likely that the new content in question is for a different path to the one you've chosen

There's always new content when it's a content update and not a bug fix! .7.5 was a content update, so he/she should see new content when the last version he played was .7.1.

It's quite difficult to get any ending at all with a VN that's still being written. It's not complete, you see. It doesn't have any ending yet.

To be fair to them, the cliffhanger of Ellie bursting into the room immediately followed by "Game Over" does kind of come across like you've screwed up somehow. It may not immediately be obvious that you've just hit the end of the current version.

I know when I played the last update, when I hit that part I was like "Wait, what? What the hell did I do wrong?" for a few moments before I realized it was just the end of the update.

That was my assumption almost immediately. But then the newscast mentions a different suspect which kind of defused my suspicions.

Let's be honest, though - there's tons of suspicious stuff going on in that town. Sometimes it feels like there's a conspiracy and half the people you meet are in on it.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if the "a bit older woman" Rachel used to be with is Maggy.
Rachel definitely talked on the phone with her when MC eavesdropped.

My assumption - Rachel got to know about MC return to hometown through Maggy and it slipped to Ellie (hence her presence near the fire - she simply wished to see MC).
I don't think Rachel caused the fire but Maggy could told her about it and Rachel decided to act till MC got another apartment (hence her sudden appearance - she knew about MC situation).

In those cases, the Ctrl button is your best friend. You alraedy seen the dialogue, it should remember it and let you skip right through it.

Ren'Py offers a tremendous amount of save slots, why do so many of you use only one????

I have saves from multiple places for each release. And then I sometimes have saves for alternate paths. So I find it confusing to put all those eggs in one basket with a single save. And I hope someone can explain it, particularly in light of the Dozens of threads I have been in where some save breaking happens but if you go back a bit you might be OK. (Nefastus has that happen a lot for some reason)

If your sole reason is pure laziness maybe just skip this as I want to know a better one than that please.

Same. If the game lets me, I basically drop a save at every choice, in case I want to go back later and try a different outcome. Especially on VNs like this...
