Well the reason I was playing porngames from a browser is they give you an option to export the game through a folder, so when the next version is released on that website you load that folder with the file in it and it picks right up where you left off to begin the new version.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I'm not aware anyway to continue the games if I download them on f95zone, let's say for example I downloaded a porngame on here, I'll just makeup a name, let's say the game is called "Sally Goes To Town" and let's say for example I download "Sally Goes To Town" 0.13, and let's say there was 8 hours worth of content [meaning it took 8 hours to get through the game] then the game ceases and says Our next update coming soon. And let's say one day I log on to f95zone and I find "Sally Goes To Town" 0.14 and I download it,Would I not have to start all the way over from the beginning again and go through those same 8 hours all over again, because there is no way to pick up where I left off on 0.13. ??????
Or does it somehow automatically pick it up?
Or do I need to copy some files and folders of some sort from 0.13 and insert them to 0.14?
I'm not sure how this works.........
As others mentioned, you can keep track of your saves yourself via the saves folder, you can also rely on most of them being saved in your AppData folder.
Me - despite them being stored there, I like to handle them by myself. Makes it much easier to get to them if the need arises.
But even if you lost your saves for whatever reason, Renpy has some ways to get to where you were.
Unless the dev deactivated the corresponding options, you can skip through the game by pressing Ctrl.
What exactly is skipped and what stops you from skipping further can be set in the settings:
(Default like this is skipping through known content and stopping at choices, so this activates where you want to skip in addition to that.)
You can also press Tab, which will automatically skip based on your settings until it stops, without the need to keep a key pressed. Ctrl gives you better control and skipping in bursts though in case you might want to stop in between somewhere.
Pressing Tab again ends the auto-skip.
Same if you click on the 'skip' button in the Renpy in-game menu:
Lastly, you can right-click the 'skip' button and get this dialog:
The advantage is, that Tab/the skip button actually runs through every screen and takes its time. That's great if you still want to skim through the story to remember, but not if you just want to get there without waiting some minutes in case of a more content-heavy game.
This option however literally just jumps to the next choice without context. This also means you can't scroll back here - because there is no rollback sequence generated by automatically running through the game.
It also means however that depending on the number of choices between you and the point you want to reach, this will be WAY faster.
