Hello everyone, I hope y'all doing good?

So, I have to make an unfortunate announcement, but don't worry, it's nothing too bad

I simply have to delay the current update a bit and there are several reasons for that:
Firstly I was pretty sick last week and barely managed to do anything.
Secondly the current scene I'm working on just takes waaayyyy too long in regards to render times. Nowadays we're pretty spoiled in regards to render times, so I really didn't expect any render to take even anywhere near an hour, but several of those I'm currently working on took even more than an hour to render (and that doesn't include the scene creation).
Lastly, I want to add a bit more content than I had initially planned for this update, so even without all the delays, I'd probably not be able to release this month with the additional content.

I could've probably said something sooner, but I felt really shitty last week, so it didn't even come to my mind at the time. I hope that's understandable.
Anyway, here's a little tease if you will, some might be able to see some story relevance here

Soo... after having it bookmarked for a long time I finally played a bit of Bad Memories. And then I stopped. I don't think I'm going to play more of it.

"But why?", I hear you asking, "There's 'cest in it, and it's harem. That's, like, totally your thing, innit?"
Well... yes.
But...
I chose male MC. Pretty early on in the story MC is living back home - due to circumstances - with his step-mom and step-sis, who is celebrating her 18th birthday.
Step-mom was horrible to MC in his childhood, got her act together, stopped drinking, and is trying to make amends. No alcohol household.
Step-sis has a friend, who comes across as free-spirited - if you try to put a positive twist on her behaviour - a stereotypical bad girl.
And she spikes the non-alcoholic birthday punch with a fruity liquor "where you can't taste the alcohol".
And MC knows about it and lets it happen. Doesn't say anything.
And step-mom gets wasted.
And then I stopped playing.

I am a recovering alcoholic. When I start, I can't stop. If someone slipped me alcohol without me noticing soon enough to spit or throw it up, there is a good chance that I'd relapse. Badly. For months. Which is bad for my health, my finances, my friends. Then I'd have to go to rehab. More time (and money) and hard work to get back on the wagon.

Covertly and wilfully slipping a recovering addict their drug of choice and causing them to relapse is nothing short of criminal assault and in most European countries against the law.

Step-sis' friend is an asshole, and MC is complicit.

Don't make recovering addicts relapse on purpose!




Not even mentioning step-mom's non-reaction and not noticing she gets drunk is as believable as me being able to eat the Himalayas. Your body and addiction center get triggered. You recognize the feeling. You don't feel inexplicably unwell.

I don't mean to sound antagonizing. Like any non-con topics in other games, I realize it's all fiction, all fantasy. I don't like non-con, but I don't kink shame.

I mainly copypasted it in here, because I work with some other devs, and it's always interesting to know why people like and/or play your game, but it's also interesting why they don't - as long as it's somewhat coherently explained and goes beyond simple REEEing.

So I hope that recreation will take this as feedback, not as shitting on the game. I could have done that with a REEEview, but that's not what I want.

Perfectly valid for you and what you have been through.

Most of us will not pay too much attention to that element as it is quite common to a lot TV and movie plots (spiking the punch) but it hits different for you.

I think "breaks the relationship" would be better description for what it does, as with it the story stops making any sense. Seriously, among all of the incest/pesudo-incest games out there this is the only one that MUST be played without I-patch for better experience.

so the story was 'messed up' from the beginning???

I'm an old fart....however several years back when my father kicked the bucket it took
several years before I realized they weren't my 'steps' anymore. Was the weirdest revelation

As someone who has used an i-patch on occasion, I think it makes absolutely no sense for this story. Personally I think it would make a hash of things rather than 'fix' something that was understood to be true, but not fully implemented due to Patreon restrictions.

I'm confident the Dev knows what story he is trying to tell, and I trust him to tell it the way he wants to, and it doesn't look like incest is part of it so far. I like a good incest story sometimes, but every story doesn't have to include that particular kink for me to enjoy it, and adding it then just makes things weird to me.

But I agree sis is cute, and she is welcome to share my bed any time. It might get a little crowded though.

It's been a while since I've played this game, but I'm pretty sure that Ellie is always blood-related to MC through their father (the only difference is whether she's his full- or half-sister, depending on version) and, with her being the main heroine, I'd say it very much counts as an incest story.
