Try deleting all .rpyc/.rpymc files from the renpy and game folders. When you start the game, the engine will recompile them from the source code. This may help.

Just tried it, unfortunately the same thing happened.
It only happens when I want to go directly from the main menu to the gallery.
It works fine via the settings.

Hmm, it's strange that the tracelog only has links to engine files, it's not clear where the problem is. Well, maybe the developer or moder will say more.

Mixdrop link led me to a screen I had to bring up my task manager and shut down my browser cause it said my computer was infected and crap.

I'm currently using uBlock Origin Lite, and it already filters out a lot of this crap for me.
Do you really think it's necessary to install all of your recommended guards and blockers?

If you're using 0.9.5.2 the gallery fix will likely break the gallery instead of fixing it, so don't use it. Also don't use any mods not made for that version or later that change anything in the gallery -> it will break! <-

She is the Main LI and critical to the story, pretty much the reason why this game exist.
So no, you can't avoid her.
It was a decent game, until the author decided there wasn't enough drama and non-visualized r**e. I'll try to forget (maybe wine will help) what happens in this part after the MC returns home.
I don't like where this is going, and considering the tags, it's not hard to guess what this cop will do to Ellie.

If you're on the harem route, she might become part of it too.
Otherwise, she'll be a side character the MC is having fun with.
At least, that's where the plot has gone so far.
Perhaps there are differences between men and women, I don't know. I only play the lesbian part.

I suppose they speak about the cop who kidnapped Ellie at the end of the last update, and you about the cute "rookie" who's partner with Johnson.

I don't know which tags are you referring to, but there is no rape if that what you think about.
And I don't believe Ward (the kidnapper cop) will harm Ellie, at least intentionally. I think that in his twisted mind he believe he must save Ellie from the MC.
