It seems like you've set
persistent.patch_enabled = True without actually dropping the (dark) patch in: the choice being shown is dependant on the patch being present with label d7_dom being located on line 2009 of patch.rpy (the one for 0.06b, that is).wiseold6996, see above, please.

Banking on = to rely on... so how do you mean it's meaningless? It's about banking, (your job) it's about Bella, (LI? ) maybe she's the Love interest you'll meet on every path, i dunno but she seems important enough to be used as avatar by the dev... Dunno why it would be necessary to go into details here....

The game is maimed without the dark patch. How long do we have to wait?
As long as it takes. I restarted as I couldn't remember what I did on my previous saves and after seeing a bit of the previous save, I'll be waiting also. So, I'll just catch up on another game till then. I'm way behind on a shit-ton of games.

This is strange part, because she doesn't really seem to be any more important than other LIs, and has less story relevance than most from what I've played (haven't played the most recent version yet). So far, my guess is that they just liked the Bella Banking alliteration.

Nah, she's the "main" girl. When we started the game I thought to myself, "Bella is smoking fucking hot and I think others will think so too." I wanted people to love the other characters too and not view them as side pieces. I wanted the "side girls" to be important and then drop Bella over time. Might have worked too well b/c people really love Sofia and Abby lol. I can't blame them.
