Now that v0.3.2 is public I will post a sample path. Two files, a zip containing an xlsx and a pdf for direct viewing. The xlsx in the first tab contains handy tables, updated for this version. The last tab is a new path for v0.3.2. Some remarks:
- it is a sample path, not a walkthrough. In a sandbox type game you simply can't do a classic walkthrough, saying do this, do that and get thus result. In a sandbox there are simply too many ways to go about it.
- to create the sample path I did not use cheating. My view of cheating is going to the console and alter variables or forcibly jumping somewhere. Thus making the game do things it wouldn't do of its own accord.
- I did use a lot of save scumming to force random things in a certain direction. That is mainly a thing to save time. But it does not get the game to do things that can't happen naturally.
- in the rightmost column I added some remarks why that step is taken at that point.
A remark on pillaging. I found that you only really need to have the hordes pillage for iron ore. If you find enough ore you can employ the miner as a farmer. In the summer that farmer produces 3 food each week. The pillaging happens in 4-week cycles, 1 week move, 2 weeks pillage, 1 week rest. With 2 hordes operating having them pillaging for food gets you 2 food in 4 weeks. In the same time that farmer produces 12 food. There is also no need to pillage for gold. You can get all the gold you need by selling mede to the lady in Elmore hills.
