Can anyone help me with the troll battle? (paladin) The damn thing just spams increasing its armor and healing.
Cant damage it beyond the first so many hits. I get it down to 50 or so by that time , hes spammed increase defense so much I cant damage after a set point not getting close enough to kill. But I keep dodging attacks so its basically an endless fight.

you can hit him with smite, wich ignores armor; with that you dont even need to use daybreak to shater his armor, wich is another option but for my taste is better to expend your mana directly on smite.

As Paladin, dump every possible XP into Willpower (which drives both HP and Mana), select gear for maximum Willpower (thus Health and Mana) boosts and Smite-spam. Get your WP high enough and... well, between Willpower as Damage and the extra Mana letting you crack off more shots you can bring the hurt hard and fast. If you can farm enough XP in Chapters 1 and 2 to get to about 1500 to 2000 Willpower between Shrine levelups and gear you can pretty much 1- or 2-shot Smitekill even the biggest bosses.

it sound good and all, but you still need strength and agility to be able to hit your enemy, if you cant hit, your smite will miss. Also i wonder how much time you need to play to get to 1500 willpower

I miself find some errors:

if i already have a transformation, the first encounter as i enter the deep woods is lilith wich make you a futa and trigger a bug as someone else explained you get into a conversations with 2 characters you dont even meet yet.
When you empower some skills the 3rd level of empowerment dont do nothing at all
The holy light spell say it heals equal to your willpower but that is not the effect

I've made some changes to the game so that battles require less clicking. And fixed some bugs I've encountered in my playthrough. Here it is if people want to play with it.
Edit : Forgot to mention I also reduced the number of save states to 10 (from 100) so that the game runs much faster.

Well that was... Tedious. Just beat it as a Paladin, and that required a LOT of grinding. To the point that I just said "Fuck it" and edited the save file to have 1000 in every stat. And it STILL took like 10 hours of clicking through screens that I barely read.

All for, like, 30 porn scenes. Not worth.

Holy Aura: " A holy aura covers the battlefield. For the rest of combat, you cannot be stunned, and gain a tiny amount of health each turn. " you get inmune to stun alright, for the healing its says you get 5 each run (at lvl 1) but you dont get any healing from that source

Holy Aura, Empower, and Smite them to death. Divine Intervention for emergencies, and stack Empower a second time if intervention is used. Holy Aura for heals and Prayer for mana regen. The whole destroying enemy armor and using skills to whittle that down when enemy can regen was way too tedious. Smite all the way.

Loved the Epilogue with Barbar. I titled my heroine "the Fertile" in hopes it would mean something, so it kinda worked out. lol.

The Paladin's Nullify ability is also extremely good once you empower it. Throw it out a couple times and watch the final bosses do no damage to you.

Desperately needs hotkeys for battle because that shit is monotonous unless a boss battle. Grind is unreal otherwise

Also dev should check out save files. Those cause save failures + takes a long time to save/load. Checked out the file and it becomes extremely bloated as games goes on as a lot of stuff from before gets saved for no reason.

Should be all you need. Just change the numbers as needed if you only want it a bit less challenging.

Protip for the Fragment of Lulius fight in the endgame;

Any forms of damage you deal to him will cause him to retaliate, Including The Death's Visage helmet you might've gotten shortly before the fight could be accessed. Had me stumped for a bit.

Honestly a huge fan of this game, not enough text-based games on here, and even less with any solid gameplay. Good stuff

well im no programmer, so i try to access the file 2 ways, because at this moment the game send me an ultimatum i have 20 days to end it or is game over (at least the chapter 4) so i intended to inspect it with the browser, and then spended 2 hours looking for the variables. Then i opened with wordpad (because notepad cand handle that big of a file) and if i use the exact string of a variable i get not results in the search at all. and using single words like sugarcube or strength get me thousands of results. So to someone who not dables in programming you giving away those variables if apreciated dont really help.

I find another bug. Fighting the serpent of the deeps she buff herself with 100 base evasion, but when i go to attack it use 100 as base evasion instead of 140 wich is what figures in the monster information (wich not matter because my base hit go to up from 200 at that time), but there is a bug there.

You don't need to be a programmer. This stuff is relatively common knowledge among people who play Sugarcube/Twine games.

CTRL + Shift + I > Go to "Console" > Type one of the variables I listed > Press Enter > Go to another room inside the game, and there's the increase to your stats/gold/exp/etc. It should work for any Sugarcube game (basically any HTML game that has a similar layout to this.) as long as you can grab the variable.

Actually cancel the grind, once you have the correct skills )at least for the paladin) the fights get to easy.
I use Righteous Shield, Holy Aura (if needed), Nulify (repeat until the enemy stats are 0), Radiant Bolt (if you have a companion with you so can also do damage) and then Empoer and finally Smite until the end of the combat. With the equipment mana and health replenishment i dont have a problem, but if you have, beside potions you can also use Prayer
