Outdated random encounter mechanic made me puke. You get combat every 4-5 steps so until you reach next map part you will get in combat at least 10-15 times and no way to evade it. Because of complexity of combat mechanic you can just fast hold button and win. Generally good game with horrible encounter mechanic.

...There's literally a repel item tho? You can just buy it. If you don't want to just buy it, cheat 50 into your inventory. And I found it closer to like, 10-20 steps per encounter. Which is perfectly normal. Like, if you hate the combat that much, cheat in 99 repels and give yourself a capped out mon so you can just skip combat.
Not just gameplay. Hidden Leaf village is mapped off of New Bark Town. Second town is copy paste of the map of the second town in gen 2. Third town has a tower you have to challenge just like the Bellsprout tower. The plot isn't a direct rip off but the plot progression is. The rival is a rip off of the gen 2 rival. The world map is pretty much the exact same as Johto.
I'm not far in enough to see if it somehow diverts but atm this is basically just a reskin of gen 2.

Uhhhh so how's the NTR in the game? Like is it just CG's with text or is it like mystery/implied/sprite NTR? Is NTR mid-combat possible?

There's no NTR mid combat, but I have to say the writing is better than most games. Give it a shot. I enjoyed up to the second Kosagi sex scene. The build up was very nice.
