save it each new day, then if you die you don't have far to catch up but you are correct a daily auto save would be helpful

Sadly there is no quest. The day is 440 so it's divisible by 8. Morya's guilds mission board offers 2 F rank quests, wolf and cave dungeon. I believe I did both of those before.Hello, thanks for the feedback
About the third city, you should be able to find the quest that unlocks it every 3rd modulo 8 in game day at Morya's guild, once you've ended the herb collection quest (which is your case).
For example: day 3, 11, 19, 27, 35, 43...
If you are indeed promoted, you will be able to accept it.
