is the game still being worked on? i checked patreon and subscribestar the last update was over 9 months ago

Has the project been in development for three years?
And in three years, development has only reached version 0.1.3.6?
This is crazy.
Ok, version numbers are a terrible way to judge actual progress on development, especially when there's no consistency or standardization between development teams.
Now, this isn't progressing in a noticeable way, but that's down to the lack of progress not the version numbers.
Usually, if a Project is not abandoned, then Version 0.1 is a young Project.
I thought that the Project was less than one year old.
If the Project has only reached Version 0.1.3.6 in three years, then the Developer will complete it in 10,000 years at this rate... or they will get bored and abandon the Project in a few hundred years.
Like I said, going only off version numbers is a bad idea. Some projects will go from version 0.1.x.x and straight to a version 1.0.0.0 release. There's no consistency in version numbering (that type is only one type of version numbering). I'm not saying this game has a good development speed / cycle, just that version numbers aren't reliable to determine development state.
game has a discord in which the dev has said as recently as this week that he is still working on the next update.
When a Project jumps from Version 0.1 to Version 1.0, it becomes a separate type of developer.
These developers are immediately visible because their numbers increase significantly with each update.
The final version can be either 3.5 or 5.0.

Update is slowly getting closer, I am working on animations every day now, trying to do atleast 2 hours a day, but I am also trying to add good detail so it's taking time

can't wait for a new update. I really like this game just needs more sex animations, defeat animations, and such. most defeats go black especially the breeding process in the cave, or most animals don't got a sex animation upon winning. The games got tons of potential.

also for a bug I ended up replicating it. so in combat if i use any potion and press Q on an ability like a heal or a foot strike icon where she jumps and use a potion close to each other. the ability deletes itself from the toolbar, and does not show up spells section to select what to equip. Only way to fix is starting a new save =(
