Tried it's newest version at friend's work.
It's all great, and feels like home, but interface is really outdated. Same as Maya.
Considering how deeply Autodesk's installation integrating itself into your system and how much disk space it takes, it's worth only for hardcore commercial use, IMHO.
Sorry for having a lack of knowledge about 3D gaming industry. I think he builds the game with the unreal engine but assets with 3dsmax. Did I get it right?

Yup, he export models, animation and morphs from some 3D software (people here telling he using 3D max) to Unreal engine.

I suppose its possible he is using 3D Max, but that has a subscription fee of like 5k USD a year, and most porn artists use Blender. Pretty sure he used Blender for all the breaking the quiet stuff, so I simply assumed he was still using it.

More like $1800 a year...

Animo was earning almost half a million dollars per year when he was doing Breaking the Quiet movie. So it is a tiny amount for him.
I prefer not to stick my nose into other people wallets to count their money, rather focusing on my own income (and ways to improve it, when it does not fit my needs). ;)

It's really sticking your nose in when you just multiply however many subs he had at his peak by 6 bucks.

Everyone also hated Rockstar Games after the release of Definitive Edition but everyone still waits for the GTA VI right?
Nobody hated R* because of Defective Edition. It was made by an mobile game developer named Grove Streets Games or whatever their name was. Actually, it was a milking fans project by Take-Two company but thankfully failed bad. :KEK:

Nope, its been 4 days since the last update saying they needed a "few more days". With Animos release pattern I expect another sub update within the next day or two.

Will the next update be the release? I would be shocked if it was. Will it say they need another few days to get everything ready? Probably.
Thanx
yea.... knowing him it will be somewhere next weekend

Making a game is harder than a movie, that much is obvious, I just hope he realizes by how much and plans accordingly for the future, Akabur games, Rogue-like,Something Unlimited they are plagued by a developer that wants to do it all, time will tell how Animo reacts.

I'd suggest him to not set release dates, but rather do daily/weekly blog updates on what have been done.
