Odd thing to happen. It was a well made remake and ended up on Steam. I don't see any reason for it to die. Not unless the dev pulled the plug for personal reasons. Still there is a post on his patreon two days ago so.. hope? Or maybe cope?
as others have said, this is well in character for dev. The larger quality release was the fluke, not the long periods of mia.
Very much this! "The Typist" from the start had the tendency for long periods with nothing happening at all and more, he had this irritating habit to announce an update within days and then vanishing for months.
I truly hoped he finally got over this the last time he updated and kept contact longer than before, but this long silence after announcing another update is nothing new for him.

That is indeed disheartening. Seems like he is a dev who works at his own pace. Guess I'll check up on this in 2030 again
I saw him on reddit promoting his game launched at steam. I thought he is going to improve himself once it was launched. I was planning on supporting him on Patreon if he can provide a regular update but I guess it was a just a pipe dream. All I can think about now is that he launched his game on Steam so he can milk quick money.

A few days ago I posted a teaser for the newest update titled "Soon"
My goal is to release within the next 7-10 days
This update will contain over 500 renders once again, and is what I'd consider to be a large update compared to what was planned.
This update will dive deeper into the Claire, Zoey and John love triangle, create a competitive nature between the girls, all while leaving the user with a few choices along the way that will drastically change your path.
The fetish that is highlighted in the love route will be exhibitionism as it was before, this time allowing the user way more freedoms
There will also be plenty of animations, and longer than before as that was one of the most requested features.
The update will release without the gallery in order for it to be immediately playable, with the updated gallery following days after.

Doing everything I can to finish the update ASAP, still have some animations and a final scene to go that's been a pain to pose. Will keep everyone posted as I quickly progress to the end
Already lost interest in this game. I used to be excited to see what's new, now I am here completely numb and 0 emotions. You made lose interest, Typist. Disappointed

Also: technically speaking he didn't lie as he may have had such a goal.
Why do typists do this? He clearly has a model aesthetic that stands out from the crowd, and his handling and framing of shared scenes is excellent. If only he paid a little more attention, I'm sure he would have more supporters, and he could make more money trying to do this SLG with a little more attention.

Back then when he came back and started the remake I even up my pledge to support him and encourage him. He didn't even reply me at all and went missing for months.
Some people never change. Better to support other games.
