When will people understand that they drive devs to abandon or cut off their games by demanding more and more personal paths. This is no satisfying work for a creative, and it is draining to confront all these complaints all this I want that I dont want that etc. For me as a reader this is already exhausting. This is not to excuse lazy devs, but users need some self reflection.
I'm not demanding more and more personal paths. I've basically laid out all the path possibilities to choices already built into the game. I want a satisfying conclusion when it ever comes, not just some way to quickly wrap everything up and have nothing really matter because the dev decided to call it quits and start on a new idea. For a game like this, it honestly shouldn't be that difficult given the fact that so many other AVNs have more characters involved and this one basically has 2. There's so much undiscovered, we've really barely scratched the surface on any characters besides MC, Claire, and Zoey.

As I said many many times: I love this game. I really do. I want it to continue, but I'll go along with it regardless BUT I do want the story to make sense. Abandoning plotlines or previous choices to wrap up a game ("by the end of this year" as the dev said) would leave a bad taste in my mouth.

I didn't say you personally did, but you should maybe acknowledge that most people here do and include that in your assessment of the situation, how we ended here. And you don't seem to acknowledge the problem: you say all these paths have to be concluded, you say it again in this post. You have to ask yourself why not only this but also other devs lose drive, don'T you think?

If a dev doesn't want to write an ending for a certain path, then don't include it to begin with. I remember the typist promising me we could avoid NTR and focus on sharing, so of course I want to see a resolution. Who finishes a story without endings?

I understand. But don't you think the devs promise to much to too many people? We have seen it with Dimajio who seems to have work ethic. And I see it with a lot of new games with the first and second update in the threads: devs making these promises because the are confronted with the demands. Do you think this is sustainable? I'm not accusing anybody but there is a structural problem which leads to exhaustion. Also I don't want to assume all devs are idealists, but I do think you need to have a certain amount of identification with the story. And if you have 4 or 5 paths, that is lost. I mean, you yourself rightly have stated that scenes had lost vibe and passion in the Big Apple. This doesn't come from nowhere and could happen or has happened here as well.

But if he just abandons paths now, he will lose patrons and steam people will get pissed too. It's a lose/lose situation.

Yeah, but that's just the forum. People will have criticisms and there are absolutely more complaints than people loving on every decision a game makes. But paths should be concluded. The dev made them, abandoning plot points seems unfair. Nobody made the dev do anything, most of the plotlines I suggested were started early in the game (Olivia, the mystery with the neighbors, the journalist column). People weren't requesting it, the dev put it in there themself. I would like those established ideas to see a fruitful end. I like them. I love the game. And I will support it no matter where he chooses to go with it.

I'm sure a dev can lose drive when looking at how big of an undertaking they've taken, but this game isn't it. As I said before, it's not a massive scope novel. There's several small things that can be worked on periodically. I even said it wouldn't be that hard to throw in a scene where the MC is just sitting there thinking about writing his column, and getting inspiration from the couple swaps etc.

Abandoning/completing a game that's just getting started only to take on the massive undertaking of starting anew is not good for a dev either. Creativity, sure, but how long will that drive last before it dries up as well?

The whole game, apparently.
To be fair, I believe his exact words were "if everything goes perfectly, this year" ... if I were a betting man (and I am), I dare say that the odds of everything *actually* going perfectly are pretty slim.

Past performance is not an indicator of future results and all, but ... c'mon... lol

Just a way to support developers also depending on your morale compass as this is a pirate site. For me personally if I see a game that is "completed" but on Steam I won't download it but i'll wait till I buy it on Steam. Same goes for a game I love I won't play updates until I buy it from steam tho there are some exceptions.

But the games here are leaked from their pateron or SubscribeStar so it has the full content unless a game happens to not get leaked for some time but what is a little rare but it happens so there is a chance a game can be an update or 2 behind what is available on pateron.

Sorry I never responded! TY for the explanation, i've figured out how everything pretty much works around here now. Definitely supporting some of my favorite devs (like this one for this game and others) now

Something I never noticed before when playing through the game again after the update: Claire is taller than Zoey. My perception was that she was shorter. I know she's the older sister but for some reason I thought Claire was shorter and more petite and Zoey was taller with more curves.

In the bathroom, if Claire doesn't open the door (double bj), a dialog with the render below should start. Is it missing for everyone?
