This week, I finished coding the grass on Dune, which modifies the ecosystem. Sandworms don't come to places that are too green, so the spice grows more in the other sietches. Fremen gardeners can come to the palace and the village to grow plants.
It's satisfying to watch grass growing on the map, but it needs a rewarding porn scene that I'll start in february.
Attached you have 3 files around 35 Mb:

-BehindTheDune.swf, some use it for Mac with Flash player debugger
For Horror In Hongdae, we try to finish the first Mac version monday. We need to test it again. I show the 2 illustrations I did this week. One is animated in the attached files.

Ultimately its Balsamique-style, since he's the artist. I don't know that it is belongs to some very distinctive, named art tradition beyond comic book/cartoon style, and perhaps also Flash game graphics (which tended to have bold outlines and simplified, clean shapes).
I do think it owes a good deal—perhaps indirectly—to the cartoony, anime-influenced, porny superhero style that became popular with the Image Comics wave in the 90s (such as Gen13, Witchblade and Danger Girl), but also to classic cartoon designs like those of Alex Toth and Bruce Timm. (The Venture Bros. is a more recent example in a style fairly similar to BTD.)

i wish i had any news, when the author announced that they might continue it i was really happy, but no updates in like 8 months so they probably stopped working on it again. I dont blame them, just sad about it.
