Think about it this way - imagine how long this would have taken with his old hardware! He wouldn't be halfway through the render queue by now!

That's the main source of my frustration with him, the fact that he told his patrons (which doesn't include me so I can't complain too much, lol) that the new hardware would improve render times led them to believe this would decrease the gaps between releases but then upped the render count so much that the gap increased.

It is absolutely strange to me to see that such a sexy and beautiful girl like Sage is afraid of being abandoned. In my mind, she would just say: "Are you splitting off me, asshole? You know what? I've been fucking your worst enemy for half a year, asshole!" She could easily find a boyfriend in five minutes. Therefore, it seems to me that the reasons why she holds on to Chad are much deeper than "it's hard for me to let go of a relationship." Yeah, we've all faced shit like Sage. But the main reason was not the fear of being abandoned, but the fear that we would find someone better than the former partner. There is not only love, but also, for example, an agreement between families, I believe. Maybe Sage started dating at her father's request and fell in love. She didn't want to let him down and all that.

joking aside: I think it's more a matter of appearance than feelings, Chad was a trophy guy (likely the thing was mutual), and to be dumped by him with the thought that he may have found better is unacceptable to her, and still is now even if more or less in a relationship with MC

Since I did this post for a DM, I may as well share it for anyone still unsure about the MEGA workaround:

Here's a video of me extending the download.

You can see on the left that the quota has expired and it says I have to wait for another 47 minutes. I right clicked the MEGASync tray icon and brought up the transfer manager with the download paused, and you can see Winscribe running. Once I start Winscribe, after few seconds you can see the download begins. Then I stop Winscribe, after a few seconds it stops and then it starts again. It'll be good for another 2 GB. That should be all that there is to it.

To be fair to DPC, this is what he said about his new hardware:

9000 patrons = Upgraded hardware

I've measured up to a 173% increase in render times per PC. I see how my static render queue gets obliterated overnight and it's simply amazing. This will likely shift the bottleneck from rendering to manual labor. But to fully use the power of the new cards, I will use this gain to increase the overall render quality and animation length in future updates.

Sorry, but he specifically fundraised for the new equipment with the promise of shorter times between updates, it wasn't anybody misconstrueing anything. He had a pinned post at the top of his Patreon showing a progress bar on the fundraising. He never said anything about shifting bottlenecks or manual labor until after the fundraising was complete.

I'll grant you that but it doesn't help as much as it should, imagine if each episode of a tv show doubled in length and therefore the time between episodes increased every time then imagine the showrunner told the fans they were taking a second crew so that multiple eps could be produced simultaneously and reduce the wait, only to make each ep 4 times longer.

A TV show takes twice as long to come out with the final season (2 years instead of 1), there are only 6 episodes (although each episode was variable length - not the typical 60 mins), and it still felt rushed. Could it be I'm talking about GoT...

it can be, but it is difficult to explain a crush that survives a couple of years of complete disinterest, without even before there has been a moment of happiness and passion (or at least there has not been shown or told)

No, Please God No! it took me 6 months to watch it i heard all the spoilers and got ready for it everyone told me it was crap... i had noticed since season 4 that it was decreasing in quality but still... i still watched the last season and even tough i had been forewarned and went in expecting disappointment i was still disappointed that`s how much shit that shit is! and how much haters failed in their mission to dissuade me of seeing it... an some things can never be unseen...
