I don't use Mac but there shouldn't be an install of any kind. Just extract and play. Does the Mac version have a 64 and 32 bit exe like the Windows version? Have you tried running both if it does?
The animations wouldn't be a waste if it was for stuff like sex scenes, come on it's a sex game stop acting like it's high art, and not for bicycle animations.

Now one, or the other might be just a red herring, or it could very well be all connected in a weird way only DPC can come up with. Thats why I'm not excluding any options, I am open about theorycrafting going both ways.

It would give more credence to the VIxens as a group if they turn out to be villains of sorts down the line, because lets be honest here, EP9 being called Vixens borders on false advertising
This is a shot in the dark but did you try right clicking and then "open". I don't know what build you use but I guess catalina has issues with renpy games, something to do with security. Other than that I don't know enough about Mac to really help you out.

Got it after an hour of searching. Had to write a captcha in Terminal (equivalent to CMD on Windows). Now it's working.
Can't the dev put in the ability to create a proper save on the specific path you want? It has been a nightmare for a while now lol do people even make cheat's and mods for this anymore. Its literally a hassle
This dev put mines in the code to trap people in loops, crash the game or delete permanently saves, rewards and scenes just for using mods...
