but there had already been the rebound guy crisis in which MC doesn't know if the role of fuckbuddy suits him anymore and even then he expressly wants their relationship to evolve. so MC's intentions are already clear, the scene during the walk at the end is just a repetition of what happened at the HOTs party (necessity of the story after the moment of the big decision). The 3some with Quinn is before MC asks Sage to go to a date and start a relationship, and Sage knows that the last thing Quinn wants is a boyfriend and is not going to steal MC from her. "I know you don't kiss boys", says to her.
but then if Sage really considers Josy a dangerous ex, would it really be such a good idea to kiss her in front of MC? Does she want him to get excited thinking about Josy? she clearly thinks it's no longer a problem for himSorry, nothing you say makes any sense. If DPC is going to do from now on Sage the stupid nympho that only wants to organize 3somes without thinking in the consequences or the logic of the story, I will leave her path for good. But I don't think that. If you are right, it would be awful writing, just for a silly scene of a 3some with Maya. No sale.
I never said that Sage will do just that, only that it seems clear to me that DPC winks at this situation, I don't think it's a coincidence if in the same chapter Sage kisses Josy, Maya admits that she finds Sage very attractive and Sage throws up the possibility of future threesomes. then it can be a joke or an omen.
who then would remain for the possible threesomes? who would these available girls be and who would enjoy Sage's full trust?
Melanie and Sarah? I don't think they are so in symbiosis with Sage
since their friendship begins with the guitar episode I'd say MC didn't feel he was so mistreated. And Sage and MC being friends even if for at least two chapters Sage treats MC like shit (awful writing. MC should tell her to go to hell after getting his guitar back when she tries to blackmail him with that), even if MC refuses to have sex with her for several occasions, or even is she dumps her after asking her for a date, is just for the plot sake, to involve Sage in Maya's problems, in the party, and other things.
and MC also has a very marginal role in Sage's choice to help Maya, he is involved only after everything has been done and decided in the usual role of moral support. at the limit it is MC who is forcibly involved in having to accompany simple friends to a meeting of which he could be interested in little or nothing
but that goes for all LIs, they are all in a porn game. but only Sage is the one who has to remind at every opportunity that she is still available (even if she just got dumped). Maya and Bella for example never do it, Jill only once but only under certain very specific conditions (only if she was left for Bella), Josy is the only one we can say does something similar to Sage, but in a much less direct.Sage and MC flirting is for letting open the door of a future relationship between then, because is a porn game, not because it has sense. Again, Sage's acts only make sense if MC and her are involved in a relationship, first "fuck buddies" and friends, then a more serious one.
according to me it's not a necessity, it's a DPC choice
