EDIT: TBH, I find it strange that you do not know where your room is in the mansion. By the time you reach the episode 9, you must have completed enough free roams in the mansion to know where everything is.

But I always decide that Derek is the better friend than Zoey, that Zoey realizes what she did to the MC. But it gets even better. Derek will give Zoey back the title of best friend, because in my case Derek becomes the MC's brother-in-law and thus part of the family.

Everyone knows it's just a simple time loop paradox and James is an old version of the MC from the future who went back in time to be with Bella and created this time paradox because there are two versions of James now, the original old James from the future and the younger version of himself, also known as Fuckface, who is not yet aware of the paradox.

Finally we know, what's behind the closed door in Bella's house: The fucking time-maschine.

Personally, if I were Derek, I would not ask such straightforward questions and arrange jealousy scenes, well, let's put it down to alcohol. Drunk Derek is crazier than usual. And as much as I like Derek, he helped MC many times in important moments, but I subconsciously understand that Zoey means the world to MC, like Jill for Bella.
