If he was missing or in a coma it would explain the room the MC discovered in his drunken state having a 'shrine' like importance to her with the items of possession there and her opening the door to it almost like she wished he was there or something. I accept your opinion on it but considering how much story still needs to be done, I'm not sure DPC will elaborate a lot on it either way. I think we can agree that he'll be indisposed for most of the story and won't suddenly barge in the bedroom demanding Bella explain how she slipped, fell and landed on MC's dick.

Well, I wouldn't be so sure about that other part. I think he'll come back and that'll be part of drama with Bella.

Which would be so unusual for this game type. Games I've played the husband leaves, sticks around but is not aware what's going on for the longest time or dies at some point in the story which puts a strain on his widow.

But usually frustrated housewife type characters like Bella need closure plus we are presuming she will be an LI like the rest despite her complicated status. DPC will find a way wrap it up in bow I think.

You just described one of the typical annoying tropes of almost every shitty incest game: "dead husband/father".
DPC isn't your standard "18 yo virgin living with mum and sisters" dev. And, because of that, I wouldn't actually be surprised if her husband would return.

After all, he forced us to take one girl and leave the other to die in a fire in his last game so we can safely say he's unique. :unsure: I'm thinking DPC just doesn't like harems in games. That's why I'm think the DIK/Chick was a way to separate your choices and he will do something drastic later to make sure you only pick one in a playthrough by the end.

DPC has purposely left it in the air so we can't easily second guess him on whether he's dead or alive. So Burke's involvement goes either way.

My only issue is no other character has really mentioned him at all either. Even Jill.

He's still a mystery. :unsure:
