same the math and words are extremly anoyng when you are at the 3rd or 4th replay for another path
I enjoy the math ones myself, since they are rather easy. But the English words one is a pain, I agree. Especially for us who's dyslexic and doesn't have English as a first language. And for some reason he choose to make it harder, I guess to make it more worth it to study and buy perks.

to escape the pain of word one i just wrote down the answers to the every test and noted also the anwser to each math and gender study answer

Sorry, but how outsourcing the animations to a skilled/professional CGI artist could possibly result in having worse animations? I mean, current animations in BaD are mediocre, not even among the average in VN market, and they suck if you compare them to what most CGI artists have been doing in the last 6 years (at least). Those people use Blender/Maya or other pro software. DPC has got better hardware than anyone else, probably, but the final result is not really that great.

Outsourcing the writing, the coding or managing other aspects could damage the quality, that I agree, but the aspect that makes development so slow - animations - could be made by others. Resulting in shorter development time and much higher quality (maybe too much, everyone will notice the difference with the rest of the CGI).

Obviosly this will never happen and we know it, he'll never hire people, so it's useless to insist in this argument. But stating that it will be a detrimental move for us it's using the wrong argument.
You have a point about that he could have outsourced the animations. I think it comes down to that he enjoys making them.
I don't agree about them sucking compared to the averaged VNs, there are a lot of ones out there that have much worse animations, but it's not among the best either when it comes to the sex scenes.

I think they are both stupid. Nobody studies English to learn how to make anagrams and nobody studies math to put together matches for two-dimensional shapes. At least the chemistry exams seem like something you would do in a chemistry lab.

The math ones were the standard IQ tests and logic tests, and at least here in Sweden you need to learn them to do the required test to get into a university. But sure, like much we learn in school, they don't have much practice IRL, it's more about training your brain to get better at logic.

Creating animations in any other software would take longer than creating animations in DAZ. There is still no working bridge for transferring models from DAZ to Blender. Not all textures are displayed correctly and so you often have to manually edit them in nodes.
What about us who love the minigames? He makes them while rendering so how does that make development time much shorter?
And when he made Episode 10 the 60fps had little to no effect on the development time since he used the extra rendering power he had left over to do them, so it wouldn't have such a big impact anyway. Every episode has had 2 months development time increase since episode 7 so obviously 60fps doesn't have much to do about that.
The only way to shorten the development time would be to make shorter episodes and sure, maybe less animations. Making it more of a standard AVN and less spectacular cool looking. But inte the end, it's his creation, and he wants to make a high-quality product more than just a standard AVN. Personally, I fell the wait is worth it.
I like the mini-games for the most part. They create a necessary routine to the game and college feels college. The boring studies contrast vividly with the eventful fraternity life. It's actually a very smart move. I have a lot of complaints about DPС in terms of scripting, but he's a competent game designer.
But on the other hand I was disappointed with the minigames in ep10. I find them too complicated. I understand that he wanted to show that science lessons are challenging and interesting at the same time. Before minigames were quite simple and fun, but in ep10 minigames are complicated and boring and often can't be done without guides, which is a bit annoying.

I like the minigames in episode 10 but I agree that the more complicated ones can become a pain when you have to go through the tutorial in every playthrough because you forget how they work.

Also much shorter episodes, lower quality art and low-quality animations in short loops. I know some prefer season 1 but most loved season 2.
If you read recent posts in the last days, it has been pointed out that Season 1 (development time 13 months) had more renderings compared to Episode 11. You have to take into acount that having 4 separate episodes means 4 different release days, 4 different testings, promo images and so on. So much more work. Despite that, despite having a small number of RTX 2080 TI (I suppose he had at least two) instead of the many much powerful 4090s he has got now, he is producing fewer static content per week. Static, coding and writing scenes are not the things that are slowing down development. Lewds aren't too: there will be only 18 lewd scenes from what we know. Season 1, made in 13 months, with a higher but close number of total static images, had 29 sex scenes + car wash, if I did not count them wrongly.

So yes, shorter episodes but what you should count is development days, not episodes. Art quality was a bit lower but not that much, it's not that DPC has changed his approach or style, he's quite consistent. Obviously 4090s make better images just for the fact they're so much faster and better in managing Iray, getting worse renderings compared to a 2080 TI would take some serious effort.

I've seen people porting DAZ assets successfully in Blender, but I cannot say if it always works of course. What I have seen is that a person specialized in animations goes really fast setting up scenes in Blender starting from (some?) DAZ assets. And even if it takes more effort, it would not detract from DPC's workflow, so I don't get what's your reasoning. I was talking about DPC hiring a pro to make animations, that's another person working in parallel to him. To be clear: I would NEVER EVER suggest that DPC should use Blender, that would be a total disaster for us, it will prolong development time for months. Blender is really hard to learn. DPC must use DAZ and continue with robots making sex, that's all we'll get and I'm fine with it. The "hiring someone scenario" is a total fantasy that will never happen of course.

Hi, anybody has an update about the new episode?
6 days ago:
The status update is one day earlier this week, as a special announcement is tomorrow.

I've worked on art this week and completed five scenes of varied length. And I'm currently posing animations for the last lewd scene of episode 11.

Everything is going well. The animation queue count is 62, and a couple of hundred static renders are rendering now, too.

At this moment, I'm up to a total of 6630 static renders for episode 11. We'll see how much higher it gets with the remaining scenes. My gut feeling says it will end up around 7000—it could be lower or higher, but it should be in the vicinity. I'll have a tentative animation count for the episode soon after finishing the lewd scene.

Art is the primary focus now, so there's not a lot more for me to communicate in this week's update.

I've also spent some time with preparations for tomorrow.

I hope you will join me on Patreon or Discord for tomorrow's special announcement, 16:00 CET / 09:00 CST. If you can't, you can always catch up on the news when it suits you.

Love

Dr PinkCake
The special announcement was that the Steam and GOG pages for season 3 were up with new preview pictures and a short teaser.
