Someone mentioned that Mona was originally planned to be a major side girl until plans changed so if that's the case, he might decide to reintroduce her, at some point. The game has set it up as a mystery with nobody being able to contact her, that makes it seem like it's not over.
I have never heard that.

Quinn has shown that she has brains. Same as the other example people have given, Lily, who is also involved in the drugs scene. You don't have an argument for Quinn not knowing a simple word that she clearly does know. It's not an "obvious mistake" by DPC at all, it's just a choice he made that you don't agree with.
No. Quinn is a short-sighted, stupid idiot. The game tries to show her as a manipulative and calculating girl, but the fact is she's just a stupid, arrogant sadist. She's on the same level as Maya.
The game is full of examples of Quinn's failures. For example, for some reason she decided to sell drugs to Tybalt during a party at the preps mansion. Is that what a smart forward-thinking person does? She decided to expand the business for some reason, to which Riona correctly said she was an idiot.
The once cautious Quinn didn't see the tail behind her because she was already imagining fucking MC after getting punched in the face?
Quinn's entire history is one of failure and a series of mistakes. She clearly has a very high opinion of herself that she allows herself to humiliate others, but she is very stupid.

The people in Breaking Bad are adults. If you follow Jesse's lines, you'll notice he never uses complicated words. He talks like a drug addict, he has a lot of slang and swear words. Walter White, on the other hand, speaks in long sentences and has complex speech structures because he is more educated and intelligent than Jesse.
It's kind of weird that you're justifying an obvious mistake by DPС. The dialog in the game is poorly written. First of all, they are all frontal, there is no subtext in them. Secondly, the language in the game is very poor and functional, there are no interesting references to pop culture. Third, all the characters speak the same way. Josy's vocabulary is not fundamentally different from Maya's.
The script and especially the dialog is tricky. Aaron Sorkin used to lock himself in his house all day and write his famous action dialogs. Oscar Wilde could wake up in the morning put a comma in and delete that comma during the day.
He could throw away several pages of drafts because of the wrong word or phrase.
I understand some of your points. Except "paradigm shift" that's a really common phrase overused in marketing, meeting rooms and advertisment for 20 years. And even in case it was not the best choice, that's just one phrase, come on.

Regarding better writing, yes DPC lacks in some area, for example his eroticism is almost zero. But maybe you are pretending too much. He doesn't have time to properly pose all renderings, do you think he has to refine dialogues based on each character personality? He is not a professional writer.
If you analyse BaD that way, differently from any other AVN, you have a wrong approach, you'll find holes, illogicality and errors everywhere. You have to be more flexible in your approach.

They wouldn't be having parties then
They might always think that Riona is home for the vacations. The only one who knows that she has been kidnapped is Quinn, who is the last one who wants it known.

I believe that Riona will reappear right away, but the party is not the reason.

You don't have to be stupid to make stupid choices...

You've rightly given up on the silly idea that Quinn can't use the term "paradigm shift", because there's no argument to support you, so I'll just leave it at that.

Rio is quite a solitary and antisocial person, they probably don't miss her because they didn't even notice her disappearance. Or they noticed and party hard because she is usually a cute depressed party pooper, I don't know.

Poor lovely Rio. I really like her.
Dear Rio, I promise this to you: you will have the best funeral ever! Best. Funeral. Ever.
I will never skip the "Funeral Planning Mini-Game". In your honour my dear!

Sorry guys I got too emotional, I'm too sensitive.

I have never heard that.
I also never heard it before but it wouldn't surprise me since her problems came kinda out of nowhere. I always assumed it was because DPC wanted to pair up Riona with someone else to evolve her role beyond Quinn. I can't find the quote, so it doesn't matter. Who knows if it's true.

What did I miss? The cat monster turned into a scapegoat, is that confirmed? But you're right, funeral party - hell yeah!

This is my thoughts, we have the general knowledge of being the player and understanding that Riona has been taken. The actual characters of the game. Not so much, there's no reason why they wouldn't think shes gone home for the holidays, or similar. Questions might be asked if and when she suddenly stops her rooster posts or is no longer contactable - but in game we still have to establish her as missing and until then there is no real reason why life shouldn't go on.

You know what here is the meaning of the word. Which is the title of episode 11. This description came from wiki

A paradigm shift is a fundamental change in the basic concepts and experimental practices of a scientific discipline. It is a concept in the philosophy of science that was introduced and brought into the common lexicon by the American physicist and philosopher Thomas Kuhn. Even though Kuhn restricted the use of the term to the natural sciences, the concept of a paradigm shift has also been used in numerous non-scientific contexts to describe a profound change in a fundamental model or perception of events.

135.png

...the term had a completely different meaning when first coined.

In 1640 a group of thugs terrorized their way through lower Manhattan by trying to extort people and businesses for protection money. The leader was a tyrant named Shemp "Shifty" McGee. One day he and his crew went out to get some snacks, but Shemp didn't have any money. When he turned to his associate Scoot and asked for some money, Scoot said, "Gee I aint's got but a pair a dimes Shift." Shemp was so embarrassed he and his gang fled the town never to be seen again.

Ever since then Paradigm Shift meant a bumba-klutz who couldn't afford a bag of Cheetos.

And the rest is history.

 How dare you !

Thinking about it, will any of the characters die at some point? I wonder who'd be the best candidate
Being realistic the character with more chances to die at the end of the game is Vinny
We'll just see about that bitch ;)
Jillybean, you're normally such a cool guy. Why would you be a total piece of shit all of a sudden?
I angered him, by shitting on Jill too much I bet SHE liked it, so now he's cuoming after my girl...
So you ruined it for everybody. Nice going.:cautious::p
JillybeanEnjoyer right now:

I use the term paradigm shift in everyday conversation, it's not uncommon to hear others use it every now and then. I've used terms like antiquated, residual, and verbatim in verbal spats with the ex-wife, which are all, in my opinion, more complicated than the term paradigm shift, so your argument about it being a complicated phrase or a long sentence is mute. All in all, I wouldn't say any of those words are difficult to use for any English-educated individual. My IQ is average and none of the words I just used as examples are beyond my grasp of understanding. I find it more difficult to view that phrase as overly complicated than simple. The only way I could see it feeling complicated is if English was a language an individual was unused to.
I have a bachelor of engineering and I have read a lot since I was a child and I can say the only times I have read or listened "paradigm shift" (or the exact translation to my language) outside my studies was a couple of times while I watched TV news. It's not a common term. Can you know it without having college studies? Yes, of course. Is it normal you know its meaning? No.
Actually I had 4 weeks of vacation. During Dec 24 to Jan 1i'm staying with my folks. But still gonna bring my laptop so I had 1 week of interupted game play and 2 weeks of uninterrupted gameplay and 1 week of travel.

BTW.
Am gonna kill dpc if he release the game during my travel

Last scene am gonna do you have to ask of course it will be a Sage full playthrough.
Unless you are driving all the travel, you can also play these week :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
About DPC releasing episode 11 before February, I think you don't need to plot DPC's assassination, don't worry.
And about Sage... I will only say:

("The Funeral Planning mini-game" is a good joke, though :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:)
