She was on the phone with Quinn however, and we know she isn't the best at making short term decisions (at least not lately, Rio says so herself). My guess is that at most she will call MC for help in time if you're on her route, and even that is a stretch. I'd more think that at first and probably for a while she tries to do it on her own.

No. As far as I know, his Discord members call him 'Colle' for whatever reason. Whether that's his real name or not, I couldn't say. It's also known that he's Swedish and that he apparently has a wife whom many believe to be either a feminist or German. That's about it.
If you want to go further down the list of what people know about him so far, there's been users here claiming that DPC has publicly stated that Jacob is the character he most relates to. In addition to that, in one of his Q&A's, he said Derek's humour is based on his and his friends' sense of humour.
To be honest I think it started off as a bit of a bad attempt at humour (it's probably the most cringe-worthy aspect of Being A DIK) but instead it's slowly morphed into more background of Derek and Maya's upbringing. It makes sense Derek is still somewhat misogynistic/sexist despite how supportive of his sister he is when you see the insane nuttery they grew up with.If you call that "teaching gender studies", then I think you're also taking mushrooms

Derek does a lot more than just think it's a joke. So many of those scenes feel like a 4Chan forum, and Derek is suddenly a completely different character during those scenes.
