It's a shame, though. I wanted the chance to help
Quinn, regardless of which path I choose in
EP.8. The rule should be:
if a character truly regrets their life choices, then they deserve a happy ending.
That is a very nice thought.

As someone who loves horror movies, one rule I want in them is that if someone is a good person and fights hard for their life, they should at least get a second chance to make it, meaning they should survive the attack.
No, it shouldn't.
Such rules only exist in Disney fairy tales.
In reality, there would be no good ending for Quinn at all.
She does things that always end badly, especially for a girl.
And the fact that she has a route with good ending is already a fucking stroke of luck for her.
I kinda agree with both of you. If they regret it and work hard for it, they deserve a happy ending.
But it's not very realistic and bad choices usually end up badly. And like Karamba said, especially for a girl.
But the great thing about fiction is that you can give anybody a happy ending as long as you make it work. It's definitely not just a Disney fairy tale rule, it's pretty standard in movies over all. Sometimes you have to break those rules for the sake of the story but in general, the redemption arc with a happy ending is very common and popular.
