It's common in fiction not to reuse names as it can cause unnecessary confusion otherwise.

If Bella were to use Sage's last name when calling her out for being late, she would most likely use "Ms Burke." It's a power play, highlighting that despite who she is, it's unacceptable to be late.

No she wouldn't. Morgan-Burke is Sage's legal last name. Bella would either use that or accept Sage's preference of just Morgan. That's enough. Calling Sage just Burke is a cunt move not a power move. It's something someone like Becky would do. It's unprofessional. Bella is above that. And she doesn't need something petty like that. All Bella has to do is stare and Sage will fold. Just like everyone else.

I don't really believe MC knew about Morgan before the reveal. I'm just gonna quote my thoughts from a previous convo because I'm lazy

When he asks that, and MJ respond with the "Morgan-Burke" hyphenate, he seems to act like he already knew the Morgan part, even though that was never established beforehand (the same happens with knowing Josy's last name, but that's more acceptable). Sage gives a good reason for not using Burke, and this particular instance is supposed to play out like "oh there's no way MC could have ever suspected this, why would he" but it's still another case of MC being a huge dumbass.

Tbh I don't really get that impression either, it's more like he's desperately trying grasp onto the newly learned fact that Sage only goes by Morgan as a way to validate his ignorance of who her family is. But just for the sake of argument, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt here and say he did know about Morgan beforehand. Still a dumbass though.

It really doesn't matter all that much in the end. Just wait until the next big reveal that was "under our nose" the entire time, like Jill's house.

Well to me the exchange reads like MC did know about Morgan. Maybe it's just me and depending on which part you emphasize you can interpret it in a dozen ways. The whole thing is that sloppy.

It all just makes way more sense in my head if I assume things happening off-screen. Like MC knowing all the DIKs' last names, but DPC not revealing them to us because he is too lazy to give them last names. They know their last names and even MC knows their last names, but DPC doesn't and we will never find out.
