At the end of episode 10 you can get if you are in others: Jade path, Nora path, Quinn path, Nicole path, Lily path and Riona path.
If you have enough time to play BaDIK, you should play at least one Massive DIK run (If you play your cards good enough, you can unlock all the girls I mentioned).
I just might give that a try lol. Riona was one of the girls I was curious about being able to get :)

I think he can see the ending coming and he has too much story still to tell. He took it really slow in the beginning to build up, maybe too slow, and now he's proberbly a bit stressed, and he wants to keep to the planned number of episodes. He has mentioned that he didn't plan for it to take this long to finish the game, it became bigger than he expected.
Also, I suspect that losing a family member affected his work more than he claims.
I think there is a lot of stuff that has accumulated along the way.

I'll give a general example: I'm pretty sure that there were fewer SGs in the original plans and that even those planned had less space, for example that there were all those endings dedicated to them in the ninth chapter I doubt very much was in the original plans.

Both the dorm girls, which are a paradoxical ending, the least binding ending that ends without sex... and Sara & Melanie who are about as impervious to any relationship.

Leaving aside all the additions not strictly related to the story

Yeah that is why I aimed my comment toward his ass kissers, who instead of holding him accountable, keep throwing money at him, the dude gained patreon member even in this month, from 13.000 to 14.500, for why ?
He did not deliver shit this year, and He so arrogant that not even acknowledge this to his dead supporters. At least pretend that you sorry
I don't want to sound like an "ass kisser" but a lot of folks (myself included) find out about VNs at their own pace and if they think they'd like to support, they just support the authors.

Most of the VNs I'm supporting didn't release anything close to when I started supporting them, but release schedule is not the reason I support (or not) a creator.

Which is totally fine by me, I don't subscribe to a service or creator to get their pity/love back, I do it because I feel like they deserve it.

What I meant with my comment is that, you can't be surprised if a specific creator, being DPC or not, gets new subcribers even when they have not released anything recently.

People find out about VNs when they find out about them and in some cases, if they feel like it, they decide to reward these creators.

Personally I tend to subscribe to smaller creators, but that's old commie me. :HideThePain:

Haha dammit I'm out of reactions, but this was funny, so this is my reaction: :ROFLMAO:

I'm going to be honest since we are on a "FFA site" I haven't paid a single cent to DPC, despite considering his VN one of the better ones I've experienced so far.

I do support thou 5-6 creators, and they tend to change over the months, I have probably only supported one longer than 4-5 months.

It might be right or wrong, but I honestly don't care, the reason I do it is because it's my way of saying "thank you" and, since I only support smaller ones, provide a bit of support for them to grow.

Then I log on here and feel absolutely no shame in downloading stuff for free when I feel like it.

and how motivated would you be to end the story?
Well if I were in DPC's place I would hire people and a render farm. My parents didn't teach many things, but one of the few was that if you are going to work with other people's money do it well and optimized and above all fulfill what you promised to those who gave you the money.:BootyTime:

Eh but that's (good) old wisdom mate, there's a case to be made when your income also relies on subscriptions that the trick is threading the fine line between taking too much time to produce/release something or just the right amount of time.

Then I got this mental image of a BADIK sweatshop in some dark basement with kids alternating work between producing renders and shoes laces.

He transition from 30fps to 60fps.
Doesn't affect the development very much since it comes down to how long the manual work takes. Maybe a week or two, tops. The reason he did was so that his computers wouldn't finish too quickly and stand idle. It was that or create more animations, but that would also add to the manual workload.

And how would it help if renders and animations get finished long before he's finished with the writing, doing art and coding? Not to mention taking away something he enjoys doing will just make him get burned out on developing the game. They guy has said that the variety in the development is what keeps him going.
If you were a game developer, would you hire people to do some of the parts you enjoyed the most just because people think you should?

There are games that try to optimize things, like you suggest. One dropped from 7000 patreons to under 1300 because he "optimized" to get updates released earlier. If he did, as you and others want, and it all turns to shit, he loses most of his patreons and the game drops in quality, would that make you happier?

Its a delicate balance but an update that takes over a year is not acceptable either.
Then what story should he cut? What paths and side girls would people accept him cutting? Because that's what takes time. Would people have been happier without any side girl paths and a quicker release? Quinn's exclusive scenes took at least a month to make in Episode 10, maybe he should have cut that? How about cutting Nora, Nicole, Riona, Lily? That would have saved time.
People want him to release the same path-filled high-quality game, but faster than possible. They want factory processed food with the quality of a restaurant.
