MC definitely pursued both, and you can judge that fact if you want. However, he was pretty up front with both girls about what he was doing, and neither of them asked to be exclusive. If one had, MC might have had the chance to change behavior.

tl;dr I' don't think MC's reaction was unreasonable. I don't think the three of them are equally at fault. I'd like to see a successful Poly relationship, but if possible, it will be a huge challenge. I fear it may be a set up for the tragic climax again. I hope not.

Josy,Maya and the MC weren't really cheating?? i mean Josy and Maya were cheating on each other but what the MC has done doesn't count as cheating cuz Maya and Jost both knew that MC isn't in a relationship and even Josy told him "it's okay if you hang out with girls" or smth like that in ep3, MC isn't really cheating on anyone since he's not in a relationship with anyone but Maya and Josy were together and were cheating on each other imo.

I can see your point. I'm no doubt biased in the story already I must admit. Even though my main save I haven't ditched Josy I wouldn't have any issue doing it if Maya asked. If Maya turns into a Leah somewhere further in the storyline I'm gonna be chumped.

If you want to consider the closeness of their relationships between all parties you could in a sense say he was "cheating" on each of them. He had interest in Josy, and was seeing her, while at the same time he was interested and seeing Maya on the side so to speak.
