frankly i'm worried that there is no head mistress/lady principal on the campus (if there was or if it was a man then forget this) but if there isn't we should have one...the more the merrier...and might i suggest a virgin middle aged one?

...we always have that loose slutty principal/head mistress...

...oh and BELLA RULES!!! :p :p :p

Did you forget? We already have one in the shape of Burke.

Okay, I'll write this for 1 millionth time here.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
What are your other options while all of this bullshit happening with those 2? Jill, Bella, Sage as LIs, Quinn, Camila, Riona, Sarah, Melanie, Mona, Jade. Yeah no thanks, absolute no need for this drama in MC's life.
I feel you, this forced relationship/drama really ruins my immersion. I seriously hope we don't have to deal with any more forced drama nonsense after rejecting them.

The tennis to me match was probably the most boring minigame the developer decided to put ingame. I really hope to not see it again.

Yep. We (the player) also spend a lot of time with Maya, and we had to deliberately choose her path over other options, so I guess a lot of people felt "betrayed" when they didn't get what they wanted. But it's DPC's game so railroading is to be expected. Melissa also came with some baggage called "Megan" that we couldn't ignore :).
I heard the argument "they didn't get what they wanted" when Game of Thrones ended. It wasn't true then and it isn't true now. People would be ok with things they don't like as long as it is justified. You may not like the Red Wedding or AL's fire at first but then you realize that both stories were built around those moments from the very beginning. That's different from a Deus Ex Machina to resolve a complicated situation in an unsatisfactory way.
I think Real Kreten has done a good job in outlining why it's not so black and white, so I will simply add that Josy responds well to minor DIK choices like drawing on Steve's picture and doing a mocking impersonation of him. These are things most people would find funny, but more major decisions where the MC is being aggressive, boarish, and disrespectful are not things that she responds to. She may not have seen him like this, but the points determine what kind of personality the MC will have and clearly neither Josy nor Maya want to be with someone who is a massive DIK. This is why the Neutral path is best as it gives you the best shot at all the main girls.
We did agree that it's not black and white. And? Josy hates Huge DIKs, but she isn't romantically intersted in CHICKs either, and yet she rejects one type and not the other. Doesn't make much sense.

The DIK system has been great in episodes 1 to 3. It affects the way the MC treats other people like calling the ANO preps pissing off Jill a little bit or making Beth mad with the cafeteria food joke that a CHICK won't make. That's an excellent way of shaping a character based on DIK system. The thing is the conversation plays out exactly the same for a DIK character and a CHICK one, you can do the same choices, treat J&M exactly the same, have the same amount of RP and still be rejected based on things THEY DON'T KNOW.
You raise a good point as affinity is sometimes not implemented consistently in the game and is certainly not described as accurately as it should be in how it's applied.

With regards to relationships (as opposed to when it is used as action gateways like whether you can choose if you want to wear the dick hat first or not), it acts in the vein of your personality & accumulated reputation around campus as interpreted by others, rather than MC's mood or some such.

One does not have to be a witness to every action or even any of it to perceive what a guy or girl's reputation is. This in turn will influence how MC's actions are interpreted and received depending on their own inclinations and attitude. e.g. Maya is OK with MC sniffing her hair as the actions of a sweet guy, but will react and perceive the very same action negatively if the word going round is that the MC is a bit of perv. Conversely, the HoTs, even if they've never seen you do anything personally are more inclined to receive you positively if the "word around campus" is that MC is that of a "bad boy," but are not inclined to give MC the time of day if they think he is a bit of a wimp.

For lack of a better word "types" do matter. To use a GoT example, Jorah may have the highest "RP" with Daenerys than anyone, but "earnest devotion" types are just not her thing, she prefers the no nonsense leader type. That guy wasn't getting out of the friends zone no matter how high his "RP" was.
Speaking of Jorah that's why some games use two scales for each girl, friendship and sexual connection. That way you can have four results depending on thresholds. Friendzone, One night stand, relationship or rejection. Each value for each girl depending on what they know makes the most sense. In Dragon Age you have each character reacting to every situation depending if they are aware of that thing happening or not. They will confront you about major ones regadless but they won't know about minor ones if they aren't present. That's a good system. The DIK system was great (as I said before) because it affects the way the MC acts. It changes the way he speaks and locks out certain decisions. I did propose an alternative library scene a while back that has the exact same results as the actual one but feels more organic by locking decisions (and showing you the locked ones, so you know why you can't choose that one) and modifying dialogue based on DIK status.

I speak for myself, not everyone but my problem with Maya is :
Of course at first you'll aim to bang her. She says I have a boyfriend, yet okay, whatever. Lies for the first time.
2nd time this issue gets brought up, after she begins to feel closer to MC, she tells she actually doesn't have a boyfriend. Hides the truth (like many said before, she didn't lie :KEK: ), straight away lies again.
Sometimes people lie or bend the truth in order to protect themselves. They're afraid that people will reject them if they know the truth about them and it makes them insecure. Some people can take this to an insane degree of lying, while others will tell little white lies that are understandable and forgivable.

Maya's clearly been hurt before when people have found out about her, especially her father which is the most hurtful thing because the father daughter relationship is considered an important component of a girl's life. To lose that unconditional love with one of the first and most important objects of her love is devastating and it's understandable why it may affect her trust in others, especially men. She may also have been bullied at school, either for being gay or suspected of being gay, and even in this day and age, this type of bullying still happens.

Her defense mechanism is to say she has a boyfriend to try and put guys off, but as she starts to trust the MC she tells him the truth as her guard is slowly starting to come down and she feels she can trust him. Her and the MC can then start to get more intimate, and perhaps she could have told him at some point or another, but I feel like she simply wanted to enjoy this intimacy and to explore these feeling for him without the Josy baggage around both their necks. It might seem like bad judgment on her part, but she's young and inexperienced and people like that make mistakes.

Manipulates MC for her tuition tasks, like, she only needed to ask and MC would help, lol. >>> Grinds on MC after turning him down. Leads to MC getting tased. Forgot the order, but if you don't tell her you are going home to have a date, she doesn't like it, and gets jealous when you come back. Because you weren't honest :KEK:
When you're backed into a corner you'll do whatever you can to get out of it. Maya felt backed into a corner with her need for tuition and Quinn offered a way out. What Maya did, to me, feels more like a harmless prank than manipulation. I also don't recall Maya getting jealous when the MC came back because I was honest with her and told her exactly where I was going and what for, but if she is upset because you don't tell her, this likely goes back to her feelings of mistrust I mentioned earlier.

Her excuse about all of these is she can't trust you yet, not gonna write what happened with her and MC to earn her trust. And then, coincidentally, the day Josy gets accepted to BR, she decides to tell MC about Josy. The excuse this time is, she didn't have the chance. Let's all ignore the fact that MC and she stays in the same dorm room.
She shared an incredibly intimate moment with the MC that was as close to having sex as they could get. This gives her a moment of clarity where she feels how deep her feelings for him are and how much better she feels being with him than feeling so hurt in her relationship with Josy. It is convenient that Josy shows up right then, but that's all part of the drama, right? Her excuse about not having the chance to tell him is wrong, you're right about that, as she did have ample opportunity to tell him, but like I said, I view that as being her not wanting to quash a potentially good thing by bringing her relationship drama into it. She might have thought it was the right thing to do, it wasn't, but I can understand it if someone did that.

Let's say we don't have any problems with any of these. Let's forget ther "MuH FrEe TuiTiOn" excuses. All of these develop, she fucks up multiple times like she says herself. What does she do? SHE DECIDES TO CHEAT THE HOTS TASKS. Yeah, why do you need to do what you must do to get? Why would you even need to do stuff the honest way? If MC decided to pour those beer to the ground secretly instead of drinking, what would you feel about it? Yeah, completing the Hell Week would be meaningless for me too.
Not everything is black and white and someone who might tell a few small lies about themself could be totally honest and forthright in other aspects of their life. Maya either didn't think the HOT tasks should be cheated or simply didn't consider it as an option. After all, taking porn videos from the internet or using a dildo does seem like something you could easily be caught out by as it could be easily seen as fake, so why risk it? It's the MC who makes her feel confident that it can work and she believes it because she trusts him, but she didn't believe it before because she lack confidence in herself. (I still don't think it will work, however, and I think they'll soon realise that too.)

Why does Josy not get the hate? She tells MC the truth. Tells his face "I'm in a relationship, but I also like you. Try to understand me." or something like that. She starts developing feelings for MC, and is honest about it to him. Doesn't try to manipulate him, and if she saw MC before Maya, not together, she would most probably break up with her. Whatever man, I'm tired of this forced drama and trying to explain it. If I have to see M/J's, especially Maya's bullshit after I decided to back off of their path, I'll fucking flip.
Yes, Josy's more honest about it because she's a more confident, straightforward sort of person. Just look at how she addressed Quinn the first time they met. Maya on the other hand has more of a wallflower-type personality; guarded, insecure, and lacking in confidence. She doesn't easily express herself because of this and it can lead to a lack of honesty, but it's not done maliciously, it's an involuntary reflex to keep people at arms length because she's afraid to let them in. That's not something to get angry about, it's something to feel pity and empathy for.

But, hey, difference of opinion, right? ;) Agree to disagree.

There's been a couple of moments like this for me on the Neutral path, like how the MC can't initiate a threesome with Mona and Camila but they can do one with Michelle and Sarah, and that you have to have CHICK affinity to shower with Jill.

Perhaps it would have been better if all 3 of them agreed to be friends that way Maya and Josy could get to know him better before deciding what they want and if the MC remains a massive DIK, it would be more understandable why they would reject him as they've really gotten to see what he's like.

so is this done? there hasn't been a major update
*sigh*

No, this game is not "done". We're only at episode 4 of potentially 20 and DPC last posted a progress update on Friday.

The last major update was in late January and each update takes around 3 - 4 months, which means it hasn't even been 3 months since the last update.

I know it's a difficult concept for so many people, including yourself, but please have some goddamn patience.

That is one of the options in the game (part on friendly terms). I choose it since it looked more right than being a third wheel in a poly relationship. Truth be told i believe it is kinda hard to start a relationship like that on equal terms when two of the participants are already together for months/years.

I really hope it is possible to rekindle something with only one of them in the next updates.
I think people are looking into this game too seriously lmao. What is this thread lol?
This tends to happen when the story grabs people's attention.

You guys can do whatever you want with her, I couldn't care less lol. Just pointed out the problem with her, as it's purposely viewed wrong. The problem then was people justifying fuck ups she made, finding excuses for her behavior rather than accepting her with her flaws. This has been discussed an unbelievable number of times, so I am not interested in something as pointless as this is. Could argue about it but, I already spent too much time about her issues, I'm literally done. The only thing I'm looking for is her learning that free tuition doesn't exist and even if it exists, what is the requirement. Hoping for DPC to make a appropriate dialogue option when that time comes xd

So long

All those pathetic excuses you listed STILL doesn't justify how badly Maya wrong'd MC especially with how honest, kind and supportive he's been of her. I couldn't possibly be in a relationship with someone so hypocritically dishonest and manipulative.

Actually, what I meant by "all 3 of them agreed to be friends" is that Maya and Josy would also have agreed to be just friends with each other for now rather than get back together. This way all 3 of them could have sorted out what they felt about each other separately before coming to a decision later on.

However, it is apparently not possible to rekindle a romance with them later if you choose friendship as this closes their path completely.

I've played this game a few times and it definitely needs more content with sarah. She should be president of the HOTs. I don't know why, but Sarah is the cutest and hottest of all the girls.
