Actually I found out terrible secret to this game. The MC is already dead. He suffered a massive concussion right at the beginning of the game when Steve hit him in the head with that lemon loaded with ball bearings, nails and 2x4's. Everything after that has been a delirious dream while in a coma. No one else really existed except for Steve who got a raise for knocking the MC out and Josy who laughed when the MC's head splattered on the floor. Eventually this dream will end when his father decides to pull the plug for the insurance money.

The side girls could kick the bucket but doubt he would kill off any of the main 5 half way in this project. Still as long as our bro Derek makes to the end I'll be happy lol - that dude is the real breakout character of this story!
Imho :
Tommy might be just angry that Josy is at B&R since she can tell everything he does to her Dad and his Mom (Monica). How would they react if Josy tells them that Tommy is likely not studying but rather plays "Spin the Dildo" with sorority girls, parties or visits a strip club. Josy and Tommy seemed not to have a lovely or caring step-siblings-relationship, for Josy it was more like hell. I don't expect any "fuck your stepsister" porn in this game for them. Josy is a Main LI. She is likely reserved for mc (and Maya).

If you want to patch the game to the new version on release: yes, redownload v0.4.2.
Will the patch be available here? I would download 0.4.2 over night if I only need to download a patch when the update releases...

I suppose DPC releases the patch at the same time he releases the new version on Patreon. I'm guessing the uploaders in this thread will upload the patch together with the full release.

(I have to say though, those beta testers are kinda slow... if in one week they haven't played all the different routes... I'm pretty sure some people here would have already played it all by now, it never hurts to make sure all is good but if someone can play 4 episodes more than once a day I have to really wonder this..)

Nope. Maya's still my #1 and I personally view her as the most compatible person for the MC. I mean, the fact that she went from full gay to at least bi in less than 2 weeks all because of him is quite significant, regardless of the emotional turmoil she was going through.
I mean, it's certainly possible that, as friends, they could naturally drift apart and have less contact with them, but I still don't see DPC giving the MC/the player the choice to cut them out as it doesn't seem to be in his character.
The relationship drama can certainly take a back seat for a few episodes as things seemed to have calmed down for the moment, but that shoudn't prevent them from showing up at certain points, especially when it fits with the flow of story and when it's necessitated by the story.I agree, the M&J drama needs to take a back seat for a while. Unfortunately, since there's still 1 week of the Scav Hunt to go, I just hope that MCs on the DIK path can opt out of helping them and go "assist" Camila and Mona instead. Hey, for DIKs, we helped them in the toilet and they came through for us with the slap in front of Jacob...it's a drama free, good and fruitful collaboration.
(It'll also not force those of us who are running both CHICK and DIK games to have to go through pretty much the same content twice if we have to help them regardless or our earlier choices.)
We've already had content that plays out in slightly different ways depending on which affinity path you're on and I don't foresee this changing as it's a lot easier to just give these moments slight dialogue variations and maybe a couple of different renders than it is to craft entirely separate events for every one of these just so they can be entirely avoidable. One or two, perhaps, like dancing with Sage or the Quinn/Riona threesome, but I can see all of them having parallel events.

And though our decisions have sometimes more and sometimes less impact on what happens next, the main story and the characters are determined by DPC.
Expect some drama ! And don‘t be pissed off if that wasn‘t by your choice.
