You missed my point spectacularly, I said that Sage's facial expressioin, during the scene where MC told her that his mum dies in childbirth, reminded me ever so slightly over Rinoa's expression when she realises that Squall is dancing badly on purpose (this is a Final Fantasy VIII reference).

It doesn't apply directly but the fact that there is an Aerith in the game (and a Riona which is an anagram) makes it stand out to me. My brain works that way, I pick out reference points that apply obliquely. Sometimes I come across people who need their references to be direct.

Yeah, I pointed some time ago Riona and Arieth's anagrams and was pretty much laughed at . I even though of something bad happening to Arieth. You never expect it happening to comic relief characters, so it always comes as a surprise. (Even though lots of people started doing it and now it's also a trope). That was before ep. 4's crabs, mind you. I only had her conversation with Dawe that hinted something.

I've always said it Air-eeth , phonetically, but as far as DPC meant it, no clue.

Edit - I would think the a would be sharp and the e would be sharp with the i silent?

I've pronounced it Air-ee-eth, but I was raised in the US. The Canadian person who recorded it for the name site seems to agree.

Spanish pronunciation is likely more Ar-ee-eth.

MC is not the only one with family problems, although growing up without a mother is extreme. (It's strange that it's not mentioned if Neil ever brought another woman home. Raising a child alone while working full time is difficult.)

It is indeed difficult, my father was a mighty hard worker to raise me (and later a half-brother) without any spousal assistance. I never really felt that I suffered from the absence of a mother, though. I'm not saying I didn't, I just don't feel as though I did. My father was the one with the moral backbone and education, so while he did lack a bit in the social skills department (as do I), at least I'm not weird *and* stupid.

Sorry to derail the topic here.
I played this game (first off steam) then the 5 EP from here. Also played AL (Acting Lesson) off steam (didn't try all of the endings yet tried a few major ones thanks to the walk-through posted on this site). Now I know that these are only two games by Dr Pink Cake.

Can anyone recommend other similar and good titles?

It's ok for now, you won't miss much except for the shower scene with Jill. But later on when things pan out more, it's hard to say, especially for Jill.
