Depends on how long the episodes cover. EP 5 covered a day and change I cant remember the rest but you do the math 5 episodes = 2 weeks so by that standard without time jumps we are looking at what a couple of months (if that game time) for the whole game?
Time jumps, to me, seem inevitable but one thing we can surely agree on is that the events portrayed in the game must take place over the course of a single year due to the fact that Jill and Sage are college seniors and will leave B&R at the end of the year.

I guess. Year 2 and 3 should be less focused upon partying and such, more studying, so having portray mc studying all the time in those two periods is probably something they'd want to avoid

I hate when he bring up the whole "My mom died" topic in conversations. It is just a cheap way of trying to get sympathy.
I don't think it's cheap way to get sympathy. The loss of a parent would have a huge impact on someone as far as who they are. I know most of the times he's told people have been in response to others questioning his upbringing or asking/doing something motherly or about his mother/parents. He's not (imo) using it as a sympathy ploy

Even if he isn't using it to get some points with people, that's what is happening.

Hi, i'm looking for the background music while in free roam in the prep house. It's classical music, with violins. I can't find it in the music list. If anyone knows please respond. Tnx :)
Not all the music is in the jukebox nor has a title.
Use unren to unpack music_ep5.rpa to get all the new music as mp3.

This is definitely a very bad thing to say, but I feel like the "mom died in childbirth" is used by the MC to always get insta good points with all the LI's as they always feel very sad for him and just wanna take care of him
You missed my point spectacularly, I said that Sage's facial expressioin, during the scene where MC told her that his mum dies in childbirth, reminded me ever so slightly over Rinoa's expression when she realises that Squall is dancing badly on purpose (this is a Final Fantasy VIII reference).

It doesn't apply directly but the fact that there is an Aerith in the game (and a Riona which is an anagram) makes it stand out to me. My brain works that way, I pick out reference points that apply obliquely. Sometimes I come across people who need their references to be direct.

Well that's because most people have empathy and would feel bad for someone living/having lost a parent. Having sympathy for someone and the MC trying to manipulate someone into feeling sympathy for him are 2 different things.

This is quite strange. I feel that in this game the MC is mostly in control of his action and decisions (obviously influenced by us). I don't get that feeling where after playing this, many go and write here "wtf, the MC is an absolute retard". The normal dialogue and choice dialogue seems to be very good. Then again, even when we sometimes get control of decisions like Maya/Jocy, it can feel forced

I wasn't talking about your point specifically. Just the mentioning of that topic to all LI's and their reactions/possible intention by the MC

I counted that he did it once per LI
Yes, with Sage all the LIs know about the MC's tragic backstory. (Unless you want to count Quinn, I suppose).

It is kind of funny how he does instant sympathy out of it, but it seems fair to me. It's a very likely topic to come up eventually, and sympathy is the natural response. Sage's response was at least novel. :)

A thought has been sitting in the back of my mind for some time; the scene where MC reveals to Sage that his mother is dead brought to mind once more. I have suggested that the look on Sage's suggests that she either wants to kiss MC, hug him and never let go or push him out of a window.

It reminds me of the cutscene in FF8, where Rinoa realises that Squall is deliberately dancing badly and narrows her eyes at him. The fact that there is an Aerith but a Riona feels like DPC is trolling me personally, which is obviously untrue and the result of a minor mental issue
This reminds me of a vital topic I haven't seen discussed here: is there an official pronunciation for Arieth? I've never encountered the name in the real world.

My best guess is "Ar-ee-eth," since that sounds better than going with the the most likely alternatives "Ar-eye-th" or "Ar-yeth." Anyone know for sure?

Thinking about what you said, I reached the conclusion that I would gladly accept the "My mAh died bruh" to be a dialogue option to choose from.

Potentially controversial topic. IF this gets SOMEHOW voice acted (which I don't really want to), please have someone else do Jill and not the 1st startup intro of Jill voice actress

Yeah, if I were a Maya's fan I probably would have been pissed as fuck :HideThePain: I don't see something similiar happening to Jill though. My guess it will be tied to some emotional event, like that piano performance and near-perfect conditions will be created place-to-fuck wise. Of course, there's always a chance that DPC will want to cross expectations like these instead just for the sake of it.
That would be me (see sig). However, I am not disappointed by the scene. For one, like I said in my episode comments, the lead up was beautifully done IMO. Yes, the scene itself was pretty so-so, but it was more or less her second time with a guy and we made progress this time. I know it's a bit of a pragmatic approach, but then again, Mary (of Life with Mary) didn't enjoy it either until the third time... we'll see how the Scavenger Hunt help goes.

I've always said it Air-eeth , phonetically, but as far as DPC meant it, no clue.

Edit - I would think the a would be sharp and the e would be sharp with the i silent?

MC is not the only one with family problems, although growing up without a mother is extreme. (It's strange that it's not mentioned if Neil ever brought another woman home. Raising a child alone while working full time is difficult.)

Josy's parents divorced.
Maya's father is a religious (control) freak.
Bella's parents are dead.
Sage broke with her parents.

I was gonna argue againts Bella, but even if she's 32-35, he parents dying naturally would still seem very young. So I concede
