A lot of delusional people in this thread believe that you can be just "friends" with someone from the opposite sex and sure you can be a "friend" to a degree you just will never be a close friend or best friend. It literally never works out for people who are hot and single, that's why couples have friends who are other couples.

This is talking about 2 people who are of the opposite genders and are both straight and single. Of course women have gay best friends and vice versa.
Like I want to disagree with you because I absolutely hate that, but I can't, lol. It's sad but true. I have no real guy friends. It always attempts to turn into something else. That's why I think there's no way (if people went the friendship route with Josy/Maya) that it will last. At some point, there'll need to be a major choice.

I know her family issues are deeper than having a date with me when she was alone at home, but that was the reason why his dad grounded her. I am her friend and I want to act like a good friend so I went there hoping to be able to explain him that situation. Then it happens that my presence results completely unnecesary, well I'm glad but also feel mislead by the way that choice was presented. OK, no hard feelings. And I admit escorting her to the dorm might have been a mistake on my part. But again, I just felt it was the friendly thing to do. But DPC doesn't allow me to behave as a friend even after making a choice that implies I just want to be friends, he wants me to absolutely ignore them to make clear I'm just a friend. Well, that's not what being a friend means, at all. Only now I know she still feels something for me... and my only option to keep things in the friendzone is telling Derek I'm not interested? Really? That's why I feel the intermediate, probably wrong played paths are not that well fleshed out.
A good friend might consider that as Josy's had a crush on him for a couple of months, 2 dates, numerous phonecalls/texts and so on that post decision - it might be an idea to give her some room and not volunteer yourself to get involved in any drama.

If she had come to you alone, begging and reminding you of your tiny part, then maybe you might feel compelled to go down the route but you were given a perfectly good out and Maya was there for her to lean on.

I can certainly follow your reasoning but it does seem somewhat predicated on you placing yourself in the position of the MC at any given decision time rather then acting as an Angel/Devil on his shoulder and considering the totality of his experience.

OMG Jade route!
Not going to happen.

Jade and Cathy are entirely optional and those of us who aren't into the whole the teacher thing or with a passing interest in M and/or J would of skipped them entirely.

Only way I can see your prior decision having a huge impact on the game is if Sage is actually in the third photo frame.

I think it is possible BUT you have to differentiate between from which direction you are travelling towards that friendship.

With Maya and Josy you are 'downgrading' so you have to make sure that you are not giving off any signals or encouraging possible misunderstandings.

Bella can't be skipped, is a listed LI and amazingly close to another LI.

She's integral to the story DPK is telling - Jade, Cathy, Envy and others are not. They are just there for the porn.

I'd say Mona is in bigger trouble right now, what Quinn said in the end doesn't bode well for her. In the preview Quinn seems to try and sweet talk her back into it but who knows.
I don't think Mona is in as much trouble as the game tries to make it seem. The interaction between Quinn and Rich HEAVILY suggested to me that she's not quite the bad ass she thinks she is. She sells pot to college kids, and even though she was looking to up her game, she wasn't at all prepared to ready to do so. That and the multiple suggestions by various characters that she actually might be into the MC beyond just sex makes me think she's all bark, not bite. Most I see happening is her kicking Mona out of the HOTs, maybe planting evidence on her to get her expelled, but even then it seems a bit extreme.

Which is funny because i find the jade "porn" plot to be better then any of the real "plot" we've had so far.

The 2 most common "arguments":
  1. "Maya's a proven liar" - No, she simply didn't feel like sharing a lot about herself with someone she just met, which is a perfectly normal thing.
  2. "She wasn't honest about her relationship and lead us on" - Partly, but even if she had been it wouldn't have stopped the MC as we know from how he continued to pursue Josy whilst knowing she was "in a relationship", doing all sorts of things with Sage and agreeing to be FWB knowing she still technically has a boyfriend, and pursuing Bella and Jade despite knowing they are married women.
It oftentimes feels like the anti-Maya/Josy crowd believe that because these characters aren't infallible that it makes them terrible characters and you'd think they were at Leah's level the way some people talk about them. They're teenagers around 18/19 years old and how many people have you known at that age that are emotionally and socially mature enough to be able to handle tough situations the "right" way? They made mistakes, big whoop, it's not like what they did is so horrifically and devastatingly bad that they are not completely irredeemable characters that deserve to be so fiercely disliked.

Also, the MC is not innocent in all of this either and I think people forget that. He's playing with their emotions just as much as they play with his because these are 2 girls who are going through personally difficult times, who are in need of comfort, companionship, and support, and they find it with him. Both of them develop feelings for him and feel like they want to be with him, meanwhile he's humping his way across campus and developing significant romantic relationships with at least 3 other women, all the while leading on both Maya and Josy to believe that they could have a better future with him by letting go of each other to be with him instead. He's also not being honest with them about his relationships with other women, so when all this comes out I'd be surprised if they take it well even after the deal they've just made.
One thing here that annoyed me personally and I haven't seen brought up by anyway is that, I didn;t fool around with anyone except Maya and Josy. All round nice guy who just likes to girls. No Sage, no quickies anywhere, nothing. Yet because Derek puts an app on our phone, apparently I'm 'still dating'....now that is inconsistency and bad writing.

This is how the real world works tho. It's called playing the field and literally everyone who dates is doing it.
No they aren't, that's called being a scumbag douche and a player. Decent people do not do that.

So you're telling me that when you ask a girl out on a date that you expect her to be loyal to you? Sorry to break it to you bud but 9/10 times when your going out on a date with a girl shes also going out on dates with other people.

I think Quinn is the 6th LI but also the antagonist for the story. As I said before she is Vader to someone else’s (probably Vinny’s) Emperor. She will have a proper ending, but it might happen before the final episode or even season.

Jade is well developed, part of the frustration of my Neutral and CHICK play throughs is you have to choose between her and Maya x Josy. On CHICK I followed her path right up to making a move when she comforts you, but didn’t go through with it, so I didn’t piss her off pre date.
I did chose her. At the time leaving Maya and Josy to figure it out their relationship without a third wheel felt like the right thing to do.
And it was a nice decision. I am quite happy with the affair for now, just two people taking off their stress with lots of sex.
Plus it seems the developer open up the route for a single relationship with Maya (or josy) only if you let them go.

If you don't want guys who obviously like you to hit on you suggesting to watch a horror film in your room alone while hugging is misleading at best. She gave a lot of signals for the MC to pursue, a lot.
Just speaking for me, but I think Maya gave a pretty clear "no" signal during Episode 1. Yes, she shows lots of skin and invited the MC to watch a movie in bed with her. But I think the more important considerations are that she turned him down any time he tried to ask for anything overtly sexual or romantic, and when asked she clarified that she did not want him attracted to her. Pretty cut and dry, IMHO.

The catch, obviously, is that the situation changes abruptly at the close of Episode 1. The grinding incident might have been forgiven since it was done under duress, but she immediately follows that up by making out with the MC while saying she shouldn't, and the signals only get more mixed from there.

Now it's true that the MC really ought to have paused a moment and asked her why she was so conflicted once it became clear something was REALLY bothering her. But he's young and it's not like he was trying to force her to do anything. At some point in that process Maya owed it to the MC to explain her situation. I certainly understand why she didn't and I don't feel it ruins her character, but at the end of the day it was still a giant lie of omission.

it is complicated to play a porn game as if we were Romeo and we had met our Juliet

especially when even doing it you don't take any step forward with your Giulietta...
Good grief, no! I want a happy end with our best girl(s), not a tragic case of poor communication kills!

At this point one thing is certain, Quinn WILL poke Mona's nose and try to convince her, by hook or by crook.

Yes 'bud', I actually do, which is why I no longer play the dating game as I have no interest in anyone my own age, and 'most' younger seem to think like yourself ;)
Yeah, sorry, but that's not reasonable. A couple dates is not a relationship. She owes you nothing and you owe her nothing until you've decided to make things official.

She did say a "no" at first, yes, saying she has a boyfriend. But then nullifies that by aknowledging that it was a lie later, and making things confusing. The explanation she gave us in episode two about the grinding was enough for me, we know how Quinn is, she was forced into it. While watching the film when the MC says "Too late for that" she could have said something, and she didn't.

I agree with you, Maya in general is a solid character, it's easy to understand her motivations and why she does what she does. But I don't like her as much as a LI anymore (she was probably my favourite at some point).

While i agree with you, i still feel that the situation Quinn finds herself in now could make her unpredictable. She's going to meet her suppliers, her deal with the preps didn't go that well, Tommy ended their friendship and now Mona wants out. She's losing ground. Because of her money troubles the last thing she wants is to lose more income. So she has to find a way to keep Mona from leaving and in the unlikely case she let's her out, Quinn needs her to keep quiet about her business obviously. If there is a HOT member to tell Sage what's going on it's her, being her "daughter" if i recall correctly. Perhaps seeing her in such mood will make Sage finally ask some questions.

my feelings are very similar.
Mona is a further sign of weakness in Quinn's organization, if one girl stops, the rest of the girls might quit too.
for now we don't know the reasons for Quinn, and they always make a difference.
Quinn is doing everything to keep these activities going, she seems to have made "the longest step of her leg" (it's an Italian saying, I don't know if it makes sense in English), to have overestimated herself. she set up two "criminal" activities but apparently in the end she has money problems, it seems not worth it
