is it in the contents>MacOS and the other one in MacOS> ib> darwin -x86_64? if is true how to edit it cause i only got option those file in textedit only.
Yep. That's the whole problem. Because of the missing permissions they stop being executable and default to text files.
To fix: Open Terminal and type the following command: 'chmod a+x ' without the quotes and drag one of those files in the Terminal window. This will fill out the path to that file. Hit enter. That file should now be an Unix executable instead of a text file. Repeat for the other one.

OK, this thread exploded with the new update, so I haven't read most of the last 90+ pages, but I'd like to put forward a theory which I haven't seen yet.

So; a popular theory is that Jill's sister is the MC's mother, mostly citing that they were both wealthy, died around the same time, yada, yada, yada. I still think that's bollocks. What I think is likely that they were separate people who knew each other and, more importantly, were close friends.

With the revelation that MC's mother ran away from home and stayed at a friend's for an unknown period of time, anyone else think it's possible that Jill's sister was that friend?

The thing is though, on the DIK path, what really is different with Quinn's interactions? About the only thing I can think of is the scene in the HOT house in ep 4 if you stay with Sage, but you can do pretty much everything else without being on that path and can have a reasonably good relationship with her. Also, you can stay at the HOT house with Neutral or CHICK affinity and Sage starts telling the MC about how she thinks Quinn likes him and you get the same hints to that throughout the game as those on the DIK path, yet she turns your help down just because you're not on the DIK path and with M&J, both of which are things that, realistically, shouldn't have any effect here if you've done enough with her.

Whether the MC is DIK or CHICK, Quinn would still feel it "weak" to open up to him and there's nothing to really differentiate these 2 paths such that Quinn would feel more comfortable talking to a DIK MC as opposed to a CHICK or Neutral MC. The only thing that really should matter is what you've done with her, and as long as you took her number, used her services twice, and had sex with her in ep 4, that should realistically be more than enough to make her trust him on any path.
I think you're letting the idea that there are simple "paths" to the game blind you to other possible explanations.

What's different is that Quinn can see the MC has a relationship with Maya in one case, but not in the other. It's not hard to believe people would notice the difference between an MC that still has a thing for Maya and one that only thinks of her a friend.

In the former case, it looks to Quinn like the MC is treating her the same way he treats Maya: a damsel in distress he needs to help. In the latter, the MC is treating her differently than Maya: he continues to show interest in Quinn after dismissing Maya. I can see how that difference would matter to someone like Quinn.

She clearly places a lot of importance in her own self-image as someone outside the mainstream, someone who plays others rather than being played by them. So when an M&J MC offer to help her, she'll turn him down; she's no one's damsel. But when an MC treats her tenderly in a way he does not seem interested in treating Maya (at least now), she grudgingly accepts.

Of course, this is entirely me trying to find an explanation in my own mind for something the game refuses to discuss. That's the crux of the problem. The game has too many different rationales for gating scenes and it oscillates between them seemingly at random. Sometimes it uses one of the three abstract game mechanics (RP, status or Affinity); sometimes it remembers previous choices (like Maya and Josy remembering if you slept with one of them); sometimes it bases it purely on in-game information (Bella "coming around"); sometimes it bases it purely on out-of-game information (tying the inane D&G sex scenes to the initial option to seduce Quinn only); sometimes it tells you why it did what it did (Jill's photo); sometimes it hides that it did anything (Quinn's rejection); and sometimes it outright lies to you (Maya/Josy's rejection scenes in Ep 5).

There's no rhyme or reason to it, so any individual example can always be argued for or against. It is what it is at this point. But I think we can all agree that the days of three paths being enough to see everything are over. For better or worse, you're going to need a bunch of custom runthrough to get everything by the time we're done.

One more reason to hope this doesn't drag out to 20 episodes.

I have to say, from the sheer amount of comments in this thread, DPC is clearly doing something right! Whether you think the game is good or bad, I'm glad it exists. It's great that a game can get you emotionally invested in a character, (or characters!) just like a good book or film can.

I must admit my main run has been making decisions based on what I would do IRL and not paying too much attention to the game mechanics so I get every scene.

Jill > all btw :p

With M+J I get this odd feeling that DPC wants them to be central narrative but doesn't necessarily see them has the main LI in his 'Canon' for the wider story.

I say that because of how the three interact in this episode and the last one for that matter. although equally he could be gearing up to turn the group in to a somewhat awkward love triangle.

this last episode gave me the feeling that Maya is more (possibly way more) in to Josy than she is you (kinda makes sense she hasn't known you that long) and that Josy is more in to you than she is Maya (although that may partly down to the idea of how much she could piss off Tommy by hooking up with you.)

as I mentioned in an earlier post I did appreciate having some more meaningful scenes with Sage though as before this it felt like something was missing from the dynamic.

In fact having done fresh playthroughs with Dik/Neutral/CHICK

I have to admit I'm enjoy the emotional range we are getting from a lot of the characters that were starting to feel one-sided

the Quinn scene was fantastic as was her showing some vulnerability in her texts, its kind of a shame there was no option to call her afterward.

actually seeing Tommy trying to treat you like a person and the other subtle personality additions for the rest of the dicks is interesting.

a lot of my grips with this episode went away when I did a full fresh play through.

the DNG scence were frustration although placed far enough in that when taken as a part of all 6 episodes it felt more like a heavy-handed palette cleanser rather then a dull distraction.

that said a lot of bombs were dropped right at the end of the episode and honestly I feel like he could have gotten away with leaving half as many threads open. I.E. either the sequece in the office or the sequence in that ended in the dorm room.

(sorry for the essay of a post)

Exactly why i said stats and affinity don't mean shit. I agree with you that the game relies on previous choices more so then any of the current "systems".

Im with you with the Maya and Josy.

I add: I firmly believe that on the path to friendship at some point you will be able to return with one of the two since their relationship will be broken. And in the path of the trio because I think that it will not work either and you will only be able to keep one and in both cases the other will be very, very fucked.

I love this game but i was expecting a much better episode, personally this update was the less interesting of the 6 because i feel that the dev is trying to hard to find conflict where it doesn't needs to be one, and all at the same time. Plus some characters decisions were a bit confusing

i still cant find the excute permission on the excutable files :/ hoping someone can guide me
No. You have to add the execute permission to the executable files.
To find these two files, right click and choose Show package contents. One of the files is in Contents/MacOS, and the other in Contents/MacOS/lib/darwin-x86_64.
Next, open Terminal and type the following command: 'chmod a+x ' without the quotes and drag one of those files in the Terminal window. This will fill out the path to that file. Hit enter. That file should now be an Unix executable instead of a text file. Repeat for the other one.

This makes more sense to me than DPC throwing in some surprise incest, although I kinda felt like MC's mom in the flashbacks looked like someone, and now I'm wondering if that someone is Jill...

I know other people have said they wouldn't mind if Jill is somehow related to MC, but incest is in no way a kink of mine, so I'd definitely be annoyed about it, especially since there's no warning of incest in the labels.

That is what I have been saying lately, that it is not finished yet. Look at my last message a little higher
It would be pretty hilarious if DPC pulled another AL and made you pick between saving Maya or Josei as their house burnt down. :ROFLMAO:

Can honestly I say I did not get that sense at all. I am a huge Maya fan, so maybe I'm a bit biased, but there were several moments, for me, that make it seem like she really likes the MC a lot.

For starters, she seems really nervous about having sex with him, and it seems to be more about wanting to please him than it is about actually doing it, almost as though she's worried that if she doesn't do it right then he won't like her as much anymore, which is kinda cute. She also imagines that "Mr Dildy" is him and it seems to turn her on a lot more.

Then there's the Gender Studies class where she says "I like you" and when the MC replies back, "I like you too", she breathes a sigh of relief, almost as though she was worried that he might not say it back and she's happy he did. Next we have the 2 moments in the library, the one where the MC is practically fingering her and afterwards she kisses him in public which is a very big step and the one where she holds his hand and gives him a nice smile.

Finally, we have the "threesome" scene and she is very much enjoying herself and loving the feeling of him being inside her. So all-in-all, I'd say that this episode did a lot to show that Maya is really falling for him, but it did also reaffirm that Josy really likes him too because she clearly missed his dick. ;)
