VN - Ren'Py - Being a DIK [v0.10.1] [DrPinkCake]

I seriously couldn't sleep after I started playing this game. I was thinking about one of the characters! How bizarre! This game is a step above the others because the writing is just much better. Each character is unique and has their own motivations, personality, and manner of speaking, Awesome game - look forward to more.

Personally, I would not consider this a porn game. Yes, you have a fuck ton of sex scenes, but in my opinion, this is a fully fledged out game.

This is the best game on F95, the artwork is spectacular, the story is so consuming and the characters are top notch.

Amazing game by DrPinkCake. Unreal graphics and story. I can't wait until the next update. Well worth investing your time into this one if you haven't already. Best game out there. Definitely will donate and support for more quality content.

DrPinkCake really delivers. One of the most beutiful VNs I've read with awesome humour and great writing. You really start to grow on certain characters which makes it more motional.

The music is also the best I've heard in a visual novel and suits the setting perfectly. Hands down one of the best ones out there so far.

Being a DIK is easily one of the best VNs around and ever since 0.3.1, I've gotten impatient for the next update and just tried to distract myself with other games to try and fill that void in my heart. There have been 3 big updates since then and I am now 60+ completed games deep.

Good:
-Writing is excellent and gives every character a unique personality and attitude. It honestly feels like watching a TV show at times. 9/10

-Character design is top tier and positioning of characters throughout scenes feel natural with how their bodies are shaped and what kind of personalities they inhibit. 9.5/10

-Animations are maybe not the absolute best that I've seen but they're better then usual and their loops are not choppy so nothing to complain about. 8/10

-Rendering quality has become much better throughout the updates and things like graininess and blur doesn't show in later updates. Hair, skin and faces are very detailed, scenery is well lit and high resolution, clothes and objects' textures look amazing and things like bodily fluids and sweat look as good as it gets. 9.75/10

Less Good:
-Gameplay is nothing new but does offer some variety with your DIK meter and curtain open world sections have some nice rewards for those who explore. There have been a few times where I get lost and have to loop around the same couple of room like ten times before I find what I am looking for but nothing serious. 7/10

Overall: Being a DIK has a few small things that could be better but still a solid 9.5/10, but I am curtain that it will some day, it will reach that 10.

This was the game that introduced me to this whole genre of gaming and also was what made F95Zone one of my browser bookmarks. I am grateful for Being A DIK's existence and wish it the best for the future.

One of the best games ever!
Amazing renders and awesome character development. The story is great,it seems real enough and pairings don't seem forced or ridiculously instant like other stereotypic games. Eagerly waiting for an update!

Might be the best game -of this kind I mean- I've ever played.

Art is quite beautiful, there's a lot of attention to details in here. So many stuff you can, even if it's not a sandbox-type of game. Even music, which I often find annoying in most part of the games, moves along the game.

Very, very, very well written, it gave me surprises, made me laugh like crazy, emotional from time to time, summarizing: it makes you care about the MC, his story and his future. Probably it's main strenght.

I found some of the mini-games pretty challenging (fighting for example) and I tried really hard. Didn't like that much the "english tests" ones, but on the other, and very positive hand, I got a lot of fun with most part of the others. Couldn't done properly most of the drinking ones btw hahaha. Oh, and, thanks, now at last I learnt how to fix the 3x3 puzzles.

Of course it also made me horny. Which was my original goal at the beginning. But honestly, the last two episodes I've played them through more for the intrigue of where my actions were going, than for the sexy stuff. Like a, ehem, ehem "a regular" game.

Very nice artwork, story and feeling of actually changing stuff trough dialog. One of the few games which really has that feeling of love put into it. I love every single character also has love and time put into it to make it as realistic as possible. Possibly my favourite game.

This game is actually really good for me. Excellent characters design, renders, great story so far, although it's not finished yet.

I enjoyed every seconds playing this game so far. I also fall for Jill, because she looks beauty and innocent at the same time.

There are a few problems with the game that really annoy me, the main character is not only a wuss (I know. Very original) He's also a total Simp fawning over some girl who is with someone else, the other characters are great have more depth than the soy-boy protag hands down, he seems to just coast through the story wanting this one girl, sure you can date others in the mean time, but you should have a choice whether or not you want to be with her at any point, in fact you should be able to flat out reject her & then there is Maya. the 2nd problem she borderline r*pes you at one point all to get into some sorority, but again you are not given the option to tell her to hit the bricks. Its the illusion of freedom in an otherwise great game

Can say a lot of good things but it will take forever.

Perfect game. Such a simple but very good made and entertaining story. I had so many laughs Derek is the real MVP here also.

The ladies are incredible and so different. Godlike content !

It's just a shame that the dev said he will only work alone on his games and it means we have to wait a decent amount of time between new games.

Nice renders, nice characters, interesting story and minigames. Great music. I had a feeling of playing some college comedy film but in game.

Overall I had a ton of fun playing this, great game.

This game shows, it's not just about good models and scenes- there's more to it. This game has a nice story that will influence your choices for sure. Good for a wank but at the same time a game that you will revisit in the future. Also Jill is the best, just saying

It is so well written with so many puns/jokes and the dating app is just spectacular!
I really like the Gender Studies Classes and Derek is just a piece of gold who follows the bro code "Bros before Hoes" to his heart. I even chose to stay with him after the Maya and Josy incident!
And the number of girls and the amount of horniness in this is just the perfect example of what a visual novel must be like!
All the characters are amazing and the most difficult part for me was to choose the most "beautiful" ass from all the HOTs
But seriously man this game is just amazing and can't wait for the next update!

Also, this thread is so much filled with all the people that if I sleep or go offline for a day(especially after the update/update news comes out), this thread moves easily by 20 pages! And then I have to read all of them...

Pros:
- The renders are amazing, so much detail, like the jiggle of an ass, it's perfect and shows the creator really cares about the product.
- Great variety of girls, your opinion of many of them will change as you get to know them better, which I found as a pleasant surprise.
- Story is playing out nicely, it has some twists and nice surprises, which keep it fresh, it's not the same thing over and over like a lot of games have.

Cons:
- The ONLY con in the entire game is the free roam system, which is way more complicated than it needs to be. Thankfully they implemented a fast travel in Episode 6 so that helps.

Random thoughts:
- One of the best Visual Novels: Good looking girls, and decent scenes
- Does not have enough content
- Mini games and mechanics are boring
- Too much story and too little sex
- Lacks originality

My number one in its category.

The story is also well narrated and well paced with a solid text to support it.
The different paths are all really interesting and not too frustrating.
Each character has its own personality and they're all really different and interesting.

Well, my only regret is that this game made me really picky when trying other games of this category...

Again a great game from Dr. Pinkcake and it´s like all his other games from the graphic, to the story and of course the awsome chars in this game. I can only say i L ve it.
Im now in chapter 3 and its makes really fun to play it!

One thing is only bugging me that Maya joined that club of whores, they are not more and less and I dont get it why Maya joined them. She is so clever and must do such worst, degrading things like a cheap crack whore 4 that damn bitch Quinn or "(vice)Whoremother" thats gives me to thinking that she are dumb as bread then .
And I ike her really much in that game, but thats no wonder they are all so beautiful that the pointing of my first choice are brutal hard, and then there is Sage a redhead wih green eys and freckles .

But after all that game with all other chars and Maya herself make so much fun and makes me laugh so often when mostly Derrek comes with one of his stupit´s plans.
