VN - Ren'Py - Being a DIK [v0.10.1] [DrPinkCake]

There's a ton of bad games, quite a few decent ones, dozen or so good ones, a handful of great ones, and then you have Being a DIK which is on another level of greatness in so many ways. You will laugh, you will get mad, you will feel moved, you will feel sad, and you may even cry. Dr PinkCake is a great developer with some great games. The humor, excitement, sexiness, and the sadness blend together perfectly and seriously cannot find much wrong with the game. My only tiny con is sound effects in the sex scenes but because of the decent music that's in place it's hardly noticable.

I mean what can I say? DrPinkCake set the bar with Being a DIK. Truly a trailblazer in production quality.

I have been playing from v 0.3 onwards. I have to say you guys did a really good job, each characters are unique and fun. Anyways love the content and great work done so far. Hoping to see it through to the end and more. ggs

One of the best, if not the best lewd game i ever played. the render, the story, dialogue, music, and characters emotion are all great and fitting the genre of the game and the scene. although the mini games can be somewhat a chore, but what mini game isn't ?

Development of each patch might be slow compared to other games, but once you play the new update, you'll know why the development took as long as it did, the amount of care and quality really shown in the game and yeah, the waiting is worth it.

Honestly I hate a same games, but this game! I don't know I just love it. The story is fantastic. And get me back my university life, witch the covid is steel from me

The last episode a little bit empty for me. I mean too different from the previous. I can't feel the typical frat house feeling, when yes something happen why I waited, but can get party and somehow i fixed it. Now mostly the relation ships are most is badly shape, in the end this episode, and we can't get a "shit we are dick" parties. But on the other hands I loved a Jill and the Saga story lines . That was perfect and emotional. And the dicks bithday party is cool too. And I like the a new features, like a house maintenance.

But all in all. I love this game. But I afraid we get some tragedy like in acting lessons witch is destroy this game line.

DoctorPinkCake has a talant for making characters feel real it showed in their previous game but its been taken to the next level in this game.

I downloaded the game originally because the renders look spectacular but I can honestly say I'd enjoy the game about 95% as much if the lewd scenes we removed.

although some of the scenes are needed for the narrative.

the writing makes it easy to get absorb in the story and with a wide enough cast that at least one of the girls story will make you feel some feels.

that said so of the scenes feel forced however that happens naturally with visual novels.

the minigames can be a little tedious at times however they are optional, my only grip with it is that its either skip all the minigames or play all the minigames and some are definitely better than other

Been playing since the very first episode. Pink Cake does a great job with this one, whole other level compared to every other game out there. Have been subscirbing to his Patreon when I have some money to spare. Took my donation virginity

best porn game ever existed. bought it on steam to support dr.PinkCake. Incredible writing, complex and intriguing plot, meaningfull decisions, you name it this game has it all. Each update like 6+ hours of gameplay. Highly recomended to those who are thinking about trying porn games for the first time!

- Navigation (Arrows. It's easy to spin around and get lost)
- Dialogue (Sick of stupid conversations)

- Plot. (What if you don't want to be a DIK member? Nothing. Yes or yes you have to be.)

A game thought big but badly implemented. So play the game it's a waste of time for me.

you will probably come across some games that has better either render, animation or content. But unlikely you will see any game that managed to fuse all of the 3 elements together as well as this game.

If you play this as your first VN, every other VNs will seem sub par. So try other game down the list first before trying this one.

This is one of those "holy f*ck" Games. Just incredible visuals and story. This should be my first review ever on this site and I am only writing it because I believe this developer deservers to be praised.

Hands down one of the best games I played. Great variety of characters, a very likeable mc , each one of the chars with a solid backgound. On top of that, oustanding graphics and designs, superb animations and a fun and evolving story.

This game ruinied every other adult patreon game out there. Well, almost.

The production values, atention to detail, quality of renders and animations, story, comedy settings, its all so good that makes all other games out there feel mediocre or just pure trash. Some games do good renders, others do good animations, other do some good writting and comedy, but Being a DIK does everething in one game.

Time for The Good, The Bad and The Ugly...


The Good:
- Writting. (A mix of mundane life like events with some drama and great comedy pieces.)
- Cast. (A good variety of girls and boys with diferent personalities, many of them stay in my mind days after finishing the game) Bella <3
- Renders. (Great quality renders, very well rendered girls to fit diferent tastes)
- Animations. (this game has excelent animations, they are not perfect but they do a good job. Breast physics could be improved, in some scenes they look good in others not so much.)
- Music. (Game has a pretty nice sound track, with punk rock song and melody songs that are well placed and fit the school setting and moments when they play out.
- Free roam. (Some ppl like it, others dont, i love free roaming in games, this one offers hiddin collectibles to find and other fun stuff)
- Mini Games. (This is the kind of thing that just adds more value to the game, while these minigames are not needed, i had fun with them and kept the gameplay loop fresh by oferering diferent things to do.

The Bad:
- Nothing in this game is really bad.

The Ugly:
- Its YOU, reading this review instead of playing this game.

Final Score: 10/10

One of my favs, and indeed, a favorite of this entire forum due to its graphics and content.

Great game, best story. The author is very good, I have played his previous game acting lessons, that one would've made a great game even without the sex. This game has a different feel entirely, but has the same great character design and writing. Definitely looking forward to how this one turns out.

I seriously couldn't sleep after I started playing this game. I was thinking about one of the characters! How bizarre! This game is a step above the others because the writing is just much better. Each character is unique and has their own motivations, personality, and manner of speaking, Awesome game - look forward to more.

Personally, I would not consider this a porn game. Yes, you have a fuck ton of sex scenes, but in my opinion, this is a fully fledged out game.

This is the best game on F95, the artwork is spectacular, the story is so consuming and the characters are top notch.
