It is going to be such a romantic scene. The MC, fueled by the desire of not letting go of the girl he's falling for, will climb the pillar, get to her room at night...
Going to stop it there and just say that, of all the things that might happen in this next episode, this is right at the top for me.

Whether the MC went on the date with Jill or not, I really hope that this will happen for those on the path of pursuing her. Him saying it seems like it could be something of a foreshadowing, and even if he doesn't say it because he didn't have the date, it's still something he'd do if he felt like Jill was ignoring him and he wanted answers as to why. You can definitely imagine Jill seeing this as a really romantic gesture and it might be just enough to push her over the edge and make her finally jump his bones.

Also hope that this would be something that happens without choice as well, because whether a player has made the MC pursue her or not, he's still going to want to know why she's been avoiding him, if she does start to do that in Ep 7.

and nothing, we don't get out of this scene ...

I believe that if he had not run away at the end of the clarification they would have gone their separate ways

the two girls would have had to face the blatant betrayal of the other (MC technically does not betray anyone), facing two shocks in one, without even having had time to clarify between them on the question of their relationship if still ongoing or not. keep in mind that despite having made peace that same evening, they have in no way dealt with their relationship with MC, completely blocked by fear (which seems to be their main motivation in sentimental matters)

Maya and Josy are still together only because they both cheated with the same person, otherwise it was a relationship without salvation.

shortly before the confrontation in the fourth chapter Josy says that in reality she has already made a decision, but she could still change his mind, I am left curious as to what it was.
That relationship is one of the most unbelievable things in the game. These two girls (and I choose the word girls deliberately, not women) who supposedly love one another so much fall apart after a couple of month's separation? And why were they apart, they live a 30 minute train ride from one another. They couldn't have contrived a meeting? Does Maya's Father have a GPS tracker on her? Does he watch her 24/7, I mean presumably the man has a job. They couldn't meet at the college? They both have perfectly valid reason's to visit there. Truly DPC is a master of badly contrived plots.

I just finished my second playthru on a Neutral/Chick Just friends M/J, and I'm still thoroughly under whelmed. The plot points have become so contrived that I just can't take them seriously anymore, I agree with you about Tybalt being no threat at all, add to that DPC's dreary one step forward two steps back with the relationship development and it's getting hard to even do a playthru of this game. If you look at it objectively, all the elements for resolving these silly crises are already on the table, and he could wrap this whole thing up in another episode or two. Yet I fear we're in for at least four more episode's if not six or eight, and I have zero confidence at this point that he's going to be able to do anything even remotely interesting with all of those hours of gameplay.
I want it to be clear that I still really like the game in its main storyline.

right now I have an immediate concern and it seems to me there is an increasingly obvious problem going forward.

I have already exposed the concern: in the first season Hell's Week was around everything, even if you were excluded, or you had to exclude an LI you still had a goal. in this second season there is no horizon, we go forward and hopefully for tomorrow. this also takes away the rhythm of the narration.
but this could be my obsession.

instead the problem is that there will also be different endings, but the story is unique. and here the main problem is that there is no real route of Maya and Josy as a friendship (then the future will tell us if the individual routes exist), but even if it doesn't exist you are forced to it, and you have a secondary route made with the leftovers of the main one. and this non-optional path in case one has in the heart to be faithful to another of the 3 LIs (or wants to play in any other way) represents the main part of your gameplay.

This game isn't dark at all, you guys just jump at ever shadow.

Oh no locked door must be cereal killer.

Oh no drugs must be someone gon die.

Meanwhile people lock doors in their houses if they don't people roaming unsupervised.

And drugs exist in every school.
A lot of people forgot about the introduction to the game Jill does at the start. She clearly asks if you are ok playing a game that might make you angry or sad. So something untoward is going to happen to somebody in the game.

You have a goal, fix the problems of others, repair the mansion, find the traitor and find a girlfriend.

I think it doesn't have to be dark for something to make you angry or sad xD, especially seeing the comments here, many of us have gotten angry with a girl for her behavior, many of us have cried or been sad after seeing certain events but I do that I don't consider it a bad thing, just this game is deep, if you want games where you just want to have sex and be happy there are many more out there. But you won't feel anything beyond sexual desire

This bit?

It's about as close as the game gets to acknowledging the reasons M&J will reject the MC. If the MC didn't sleep with Josy in Episode 2, or if he has DIK affinity, Josy will give that line above about not being sure if she has regrets. If, on the other hand, the MC did sleep with her and has Neutral or CHICK affinity, Josy has no regrets:
View attachment 917815

In other words, Josy is signalling if she would stand up for the MC if he tries for something more. But this is only from Josy's POV; if the MC is a non-DIK and helped Maya in Episode 3 he could still be accepted. Maya has no equivalent dialog AFAIK. And of course Episode 5 will confuse the matter by having Josy blame the rejection on Maya or the MC even if she does have these regrets. Sigh.

Anyway, the moral of the story is apparently that nice girls never regret sleeping with nice boys. Go figure. ;)
I noticed this on my most recent playthrough
screenshot0001.png screenshot0002.png screenshot0004.png screenshot0005.png screenshot0006.png

I never caught before how she starts crying when she says she'll be happy with Maya. And this was on a CHICK affinity.

its a well made game but its boring as shit at this point. they just go on and on talking about nothing, this update especially with all the free roaming sections which are just terrible and time consuming for the sake of consuming time. theres nothing actually interesting about them. then you have things like that d&d game, which i just smashed the space bar to get the crap over with already, what a waste of resources that was. which ever girl/girls you like in this game, you get one maybe two scenes with them and then you have to wait months for the next update for just as little time. each update i look less and less forward to it, this game could have been a whole lot more interesting especially with the college setting, buts its pretty much been a shallow slog of nothingness.

ok, but it doesn't give you a long-term goal

we are the "friendly phone" waiting for a request for help.

I want more horizontal plot and less vertical.

now we will solve the problem of the blackmail of Jill and Maya's father, which are setbacks for what? what would we have wanted to do otherwise?

Honestly why do you play it then? do not be offended but i think you are only interested in seeing the sexual scenes, I think it has become quite clear that if that is what you are looking for, this is not a game for you.

DPC didn't just spend 6 months to build that mansion repair system/mini-game to have no horizon.
Tho I'm sure I won't be able to fix shit as I'm well aware of my managing skills :HideThePain:.

I wonder how many varients of scenes DPC is gonna be able to cram in because of the mansion repair system. Based on how much they like seemingly minor details altering dialogue I imagine a lot but I expect the novelty of writting them would wear off after a while

Really, that's about the most arrogant thing you could say. Who are you to tell someone that the game is for them, or not. Maybe like me, this post is from someone who liked the game but is becoming increasingly bored with it, but is still curious about the ending?

on this I give a justification to DPC

we, as players, are missing a piece of history. what Maya's father did and said to his daughter, how he prevented her from seeing Josy, what girls said to each other when they evidently managed to communicate with each other, are all aspects we have not been told anything about. we know it happened.

so it's not inconsistent or unbelievable, it's just unknown. frankly I don't even care much, the explanations could have been clearer but peace

If you play a game where the conversations bore you and you have to skip the dialogue until you get to the scenes, this is not for you. I'm sorry but that's the way it is, if a game bores me I leave it and if I'm interested in the scenes I download the mod or watch the videos on youtube / pornhub wherever. It is not being arrogant, it is being practical and realistic.

We can surmise that Josy and Maya were in pretty regular contact by phone and text given that the interruption, when Josy's Father took her phone, vexed Maya so much that she began bombarding Josy with mean messages.

You have Where The Heart Is in your sig, a good game, but one that also has screeds of text, mostly shit-talking banter between the characters, that can get a bit a tedious after a while, yet you say this game is a slog to read through? :KEK:

Also, what you are saying is that we must believe it because that's what DPC wrote? I don't buy that. As I've stated before the burden is upon the author to make their story something that a reasonable person CAN believe, and on this DPC has failed miserably.
