but previously mentioned that he wants to reduce the number of episodes, we went from "I wouldn't be surprised if it was 4 seasons and 20 episodes at the end", to "it should be 3 seasons" and therefore probably 12 episodes
but the fundamental point is: what advantages would DPC have in shortening the production time?
economically none, so unless he already has the next job in mind, he will not rush anything
Unlike bunch of people here, I loved every bit of DnG, and completed all paths in it 100%.
Sometimes, small non-connected stories are refreshing, especially since they are not burdened by past game choices and other stuff. Feels like mini stand alone game on its own.
I would actually like to see more of it, and do not really care about sex/animation budget and stuff. Dr. Pinkcake will make game as long as needed to tell his story, and that will not be affected with any side content like this. More wait time, so what?

See, the reasons why you find it refreshing are exactly the same that makes DnG a problem for many people. It's an standalone game non-connected to the story, although it is burdened by past game choices, as you can only charm those girls you've already charmed in the story. It kind of tries to cover what Hell Week was in terms of 'fun' and entertaining moments in previous chapters, but this time without any real impact, and this makes it feel like a big filler. So it's easy to understand why so many people would have preferred DPC to invest all that time spent in DnG in advancing the actual plot. But well, to each their own
