Yes, we certainly have a lot of story to get to. Hopefully DPC gives us a nice chunk of plot movement in addition to all of the filler. We will have an extra long wait after ep. 8 so DPC can work on the steam release. I just hope we have a enough good content to hold us over until ep. 9 drops next year.
points that will be closed in the second season?

I have high hopes for Jill's blackmail, which is the bad lintel on which this second season rests, at least we should leave this story behind.

maybe some of BR's mysteries will be closed (Cathe's cluch, the assault on DIKs mansion, the threatening letters to Chad and Dawe), but for me more no than yes

But I'm sure some new questions will pile up.

I hereby revoke your Sage avatar privileges. Please clean out your desk and turn in your keys and your badge.
Haha! Nah, Sage is still an S tier Girl for me in this game. Bella is just a favorite of mine. This scene happens to be one of my favorites in the game. That and taking care of Sage when she's sick.

According to DPC he's finally able to put what he wants into each episode due to his hardware. So we just might be able to have our cake and eat it too (pun intended) regardless of our affinity to Madam Rose

Surely it has nothing to do with her unattractive face and saggy body.
Subjective, I don't find her to be unattractive in the slightest. The opposite actually. As for her "saggy body" did we play the same game?

I doubt most people are playing the game for character development, considering how poorly it has been handled for several updates now. The 'sad/tragic childhood' card for one seems to be the default motivator for most of the cast, including the unpleasant ones. Interestingly, some players are eating it up - hook, line and sinker.
You kind of just contradicted yourself there. People aren't playing this game for the character development yet they're eating it up? I personally enjoy both, the satisfaction of the sexual content with the main girls are in large part thanks to the development of their story. We even see this with side girls like Riona, Quinn, and even Lily in the latest episode. Of course there are girls that are just there so the MC can get his (and our) rocks off.

I am so close to finishing my 'Quinn' playthrough so far and I have unlocked so much content I never knew existed...it was like a whole new game!! DPC is awesome! I've had to make some difficult decisions on this Quinn journey that made me feel uncomfortable, but once you penetrate the cold, hard exterior of her body armour, you start to see the human being within...a girl with a thousand hiding places, creating personas of strength and independence and fortitude. Quinn has had to survive bad places, full of bad people, that couldn't be trusted...an upbringing immersed in darkness. But when you pass out on her bed at the end of Chpt. 7 you start to see a girl who wants and needs to be loved...a 'Quinn' you would never imagine existed.
I love this game!

Exactly, it's subjective. You, yourself admitted that it's a personal preference in the first place. And if by your perception most people don't like her, what does that tell you ?

The thing I had in mind, which I probably didn't convey very well, is that players are not discerning whether the character development is actually good or not. Hence they're not playing it in hopes of believable and mature development. They're simply satisfied with the superficial drama DPC throws at us as a break between the sex-scenes, which are the main attraction for a lot of players.
While AL was no masterpiece, it's still good when it comes to plot and character development.

It tells me that most people don't like her, that's it. Which is something I already agreed with in my original post. Anything else without sufficient evidence like examples would simply be projecting. Sorta like I did in my original post only I've read people share sentiment about MR taking away from development time in other areas of the game. I personally haven't seen people mention her having an ugly face or saggy body. But even if that were the case, that doesn't make it the definitive reason like you're implying.

I would agree that the plot and character development isn't exactly peak fiction. You could even argue that it's poorly done. That has nothing to do with people's enjoyment or excitement of said development. People can enjoy objectively shitty pieces of fiction. Bad development or not, people are excited for the plot/character development. The reasons why are irrelevant.

so WE got the "Episode 8 Checklist" And as Expected, our "Nerd Analysts" are now start to take "Black Pills" . :ROFLMAO:
I personally do not see it as scary as they did, the only thing that is slightly scary is those Render numbers he claims are remained., and the animations.

to me the most pormissing part was this : " but we are at the same time over the hump." - Couple of updates ago , I was playing with the idea that he might be focused on the hardest tasks first, and now we will be in an easier phase. I think that is what happened, it might seems a lot, but there are not many task on that list that would take 8-9 week. I refuse to believe that most of the coding are not routine to him by now. And he did not say new mini games i just said mini games, probably the usual ones. Roster, gallery, etc, these should be routine by now. with 12 hour work day a week.
Anyway, right now I hold myself to a possible october 22-29 date.
If by the end of September, or the first week of october he will not be finished and started to enter the test phase, then a November 5-12 also possible.

The lack of taste is disturbing...
It's gonna go down like this... MC gets blue balled by Jill yet again so Derek takes MC to the Pink Rose on him then this Madame scene starts :KEK:
 Why did you have to say taste?

Yes, it wouldn't be a proper BaDIK episode if it doesn't end with some Jill blue-balling action. And the sad part is, MC is probably going to not only ask Madame for a fish sandwich, but he is going to pay her for it! I'll bet he dives right in too. Obviously you never eat out a prostitute, but even with your girl next door type, you have to be sure she is clean. Before you get anywhere near the promised land, you'd better be eyeballing that vag, on the lookout for anything remotely sus. Make sure it passes the sniff test too.

Only Nostradamus would predict the ETA of Chapter 8...and that's only because he's already dead and won't have to take the flack for being wrong!!

I doubt them Patrons really thought through the implications of that and the ass licking option came in second place :KEK: As for Jill it wouldn't surprise me if a sex scene doesn't happen till the final season or whatever, you'll probably need to be officially in a relationship with her or something.

Yes, I'm not optimistic about Jill. She is a stereotypical porn game girl where you have to advance in small increments. Step 1 was almost touching your penis. Maybe she will actually rest her hand on your junk in ep. 8, but full sex soon? Not bloody likely. It's been almost two full seasons and we haven't even had full sex with Bella, another main LI.

Dude what the hell I just played through this game the past few days. And I'm just sat here now sad that Jill isn't actually real??

Jesus fantastic game. Can't wait to keep playing. Also had a big crush on Riona but since I wanted Jill I went full Chick mode so the scene in Episode 7 to get with Riona was fantastic lmao.

Does anyone know how long it takes on average for the next episode to come out?

Yes, I don't see this coming out before Halloween. In fact, I'll bet it doesn't even go to Beta testers until November (early Nov if we are really lucky). Lot of filler in this episode gents, just saying.
Not all filler is created equal. I'm fine with character focus, world building, mini-games and lighthearted diversions even if they don't advance the plot a whit... so long as they're done in moderation. Personally, I think Episode 7 was a huge success by that standard, so I'm optimistic for now. It's just going to be a long wait.

Same here. A busty older bruenette with blue eyes is my weakness. Guess that's one of the reasons why I like Bella the most.
But I can understand why people dislike her, she could potentially be taking away development from characters who's stories are reaching pivotal moments. Like Bella with her date and getting over James. Jill finally willing to get intimate and find her voice against Tybalt. Maya finding the tools to get past her father and discovering her feelings with MC. Josy being... Josy (stealing her from Maya seems to be the only conflict she has at the moment) and Sage finding out who Chad is cheating on her with, on top of her getting over Chad by getting closer to MC. Some might view this as a distraction or a way to fill the game with content because of a choice you made, even though you could argue you have enough with the Main Girls.
My occasional snark aside, I don't dislike Madame Rose in and of herself. I just think she was a bad idea executed badly.

She's a bad idea because we already had *six* strippers at the Pink Rose (and a bartender for good measure), including a smoking hot MILF. The marginal value of adding a seventh stripper is damn near zero. There are much better places for DPC to spend his time.

That could have been salvaged with skillful execution. Instead, Rose is presented as the big reward for the VIP pass (which requires not only winning Hell Week but also throwing the DIK mansion under the bus), yet she winds up being a borderline caricature who triples down on the busty madam schtick and has no meaningful backstory. Worse, our reward charges us an arm and a leg for sex acts that can in no way compete with the numerous LI scenes we get for free in Episode 7 (to say nothing of side girls like Lily, Cami, Riona or Cami & Riona).

So yeah, I can see why some people might be inclined to like Madame Rose even if I don't. Unfortunately, DPC drove her into a ditch so thoroughly I'm not sure she'll ever be able to climb out.

Believe me, I'm not trying to be negative here. I'm just working with what I'm given - and the news ain't good. Even the idea that we're "over the hump" doesn't help much without further information. For example, going by DPC's guess that he was 30% done on July 2 (which had been among the more pessimistic metrics), we'd expect to be ~64% done by now. That's certainly over the hump in my book, yet it puts us on pace for a release in mid-to-late November.

Which, unfortunately, is now consistent with most of the other metrics. You're right that DPC is an old hat at coding, but it still takes time and he has a bunch of renders left. DPC's render rate is well below the peak pace he set in Episode 7, so he must have been doing non-render things with his time these last 18 weeks. That strongly suggests the rate at which he will complete the remaining renders will approximate the rate he's been working up to now - which again translates to a mid-to-late November release when we factor in beta testing.

Now all of this is speculative. It's certainly possible DPC has been tackling the hardest tasks first as you said. But that's basically the best case scenario: all the remaining render estimates come in on the low side, DPC doubles his output, and the beta test goes swimmingly. Under these circumstances, I'd predict a 2021-10-22 release. But the flip side is that DPC might have been skimping on art the last couple weeks (not like we'd know), all his estimates go to the high side, the coding slows him down even further, and beta testing drags on; under those circumstances we'd be getting Episode 8 just in time for Christmas.

That's a spread of ~9 weeks, only 2 of which are in October. Personally, I think DPC will accelerate a bit as he comes down the home stretch, but November 5 is the earliest I'd expect to see the release. If you want to take a page from Josy's book and look on the sunny side, then I sincerely hope you'll be rewarded for your faith. I'm merely saying you might want to pencil in a few alternative activities you can do for Halloween, just in case.

Will see, we won't fight over this:). I stick with my gut feelings , at least until the end of september as i said. We can't deny that we don't get the information that we used to get in the past. It was much more easier during season 1 and even in the first half of season 2. we don't get week by week numbers. so we can't even set up a pattern, Not like we used to do. and Im pretty sure there is lots of thing he actually not telling us, just like with this update. one thing i can assume surely was not "touched" yet, is the Rooster:ROFLMAO:.
that much is obvious. But i still believe, there is a difference between a scene with 60 character, and a scene like Jill and MC morning run.
But each week we will be smarter, or we won't:ROFLMAO:

Hard to disagree with any of your points. She's mainly there to add value to a choice that was supposed to come off as important. Which it really isn't if you save spam the Mansion Repair. Not sure what happens if you play without mini games, so it could potentially throw the diks under the bus in the long run. As for the cost of everything, hopefully the new wallet upgrades will make for the cost (that and more money to find in the free-roams)

I'm mainly more interested in her look, I dig it. But I guess she could have been replaced with someone like Envy (not sure if it would make sense within the world since she "doesn't do those kind of things anymore") if we were to get close to her and we get the sex acts for free. If we aren't on her path we could go with Tatiana (which we would pay for if DPC really wants us to)

All that is assuming the VIP pass is an important part of the story anyways. But like I said in previous comments, DPC said he could put what he wanted into each episode thanks in large part to his hardware. So maybe we can have our cake with plot/character development and eat it too with the VIP pass
