Even though there was no chemistry ever depicted between Sage and Chad, they were together for long enough that the sudden, abrupt end of the relationship has sent her reeling.

She didn't want a complicated relationship with the mc, sex on the side was all it was meant to be (to make her feel desired, and to get back at Chad), but their chemistry was undeniable (how the fuck can a slide show porn game project such strong chemistry is beyond me, but ya'll know it's there, right?)

So she'd already formed quite a bond with the mc - I wouldn't call it love or anything, but they are fucking close (and I do mean "fucking"). At the same time, she hasn't even got over the break up with Chad, and combine all that with her family's shit emotional handling issues... maybe the mc was right to suggest they cool down for a bit.

All that said, I also hope we aren't forced into exposing Chad/Troy's secret. That'd be a seriously fucked up thing to be forced to do, and there's no taking it back once it's out there (all the other dumb shit the mc has done against our will has been fairly transient).

I understand the point you make about downshifting, but that scene could have been explicitly about taking it easy and not about the rebound guy.
I understand that in the situation that was going on, even the fuck buddy part was going to collide (or at least the MC believes that).
I want to keep being FB and not the rebound guy! that would be more logical than I want something serious and not be the rebound guy.....

Why do SO MANY of you play this game with the text box enabled and the opacity turned up significantly? What do you think it adds?
So serious question, why do people prefer obscuring the renders?

It makes it possible for me to actually read the words. If I feel something is being obscured I can merely click the middle mouse button, or one of my bound keys that turns off the overlays. If one wants to bitch about the render being obscured, that should include everything, but not just a background for the text box.

i'm pretty sure we won't have any further explanations, in some ways they would be even boring so we'll have to exonerate them both because at the end Sage is a LI, so she's part of the good guys by definition

My thoughts were Chad initiated it in order to keep the HOTs around the Jocks, keeping his brothers stocked up on pussy. But it's pretty hard to see how exactly he would have managed to string Sage along for any significant period of time without some form of affection and physical contact.

Yes Agreed ! There is no doubt Chad used sage to best of his ability may be not sexually but emotionally. Let's put it that way she has lack of emotional love and support from her family, she said herself. You mention her felling toward chad is raw. I agree that she definitely loved him.
But DPC made mess of sage character when he forced sex hungry women, Which definitely love her boyfriend but like to keep a guy in side so she can get good fuck.....that is also the reason relation between mc and sage is just physical and non-emotional.

Also a fuck up point about sage that don't suit her personality in my pov : she made relation with mc to revenge chad but she intensively on destructive path if chad were not gay and fallout would be catastrophic.

DPC forced mc into sage wrong way life and sage character get destroyed in that process.

Chad is the head of TriA and we know that HOTs are suppossed to be with TriA, so as the "mother" of the HOTs he is the "perfect boyfriend" (Sage awfully care about HOTs and their rules). On the side of Chad Sage is also the "perfect girlfriend" the one everybody is supposed to want be with and she wants him so she's an "easy target" too.

I'm of the same opinion you are. Based on similar experiences with a close friend of mine who came to the realization of his sexual orientation while still in a relationship with his girlfriend, the conversations he and I had are somewhat mimicked in the actions of Chad. A lot of different life variables come into play when someone has a huge life changing secret like being gay. I can see Chad starting out the relationship with Sage with good intentions and then the bond with Troy was formed when Troy was still an Alpha. When Troy was thrown out of the Alphas, that more than likely caused an influx of confusing emotions on Chad's part so he became distant and once the realization of what was going on hit him, he was stuck in an impossible situation.
I've never seen Chad as a bad guy and that idea was driven home in the last episode when Chad stepped in between MC and Alex and said "He's cool!". I see things between Chad and Sage smoothing out in later episodes and them two becoming great friends.

This week I worked on several different tasks.

I've added art, code, and writing to Rooster/Chats and updated the design of the game menus (Save/Load/Preferences, etc.) to a more modern look that I intend to keep across season 1/2 and season 3 binaries.

I've written more of the missing scenes and posed static renders and a couple of SFW animations for them.

Here is the updated checklist of what's left to do:

Writing tasks that remain:

• Two scenes of medium length
• Code for one mini-game
• Code for previously on Being a DIK screens
• Code for episode end credits and screens
• Adding Bios for all events (I always leave this task to last)

Art tasks that remain:

• Possibly a few SFW (safe for work) animations
• Render time for the final animation queue, currently 40 animations waiting to render
• Static renders for four scenes
• Render time for those static renders
• GUI elements for one mini-game

Audio tasks that remain:

• Implementing sound effects for a few scenes
• Implementing music for a few scenes

(I intend to work on everything above next week and should complete a lot. I will also start playtesting next week.)

Other tasks that remain:

• Polishing the dialogue and code
• Playtesting
• Thorough testing of transferring saves between Season 2 and Season 3 (Steam and Patreon).
• Double-checking variables
• Quality control of renders/animations
• Fixing bugs that I find while testing

The episode is now bigger than episode 7 in almost every regard, and I feel that I'm getting close to having a complete episode that I can polish and test.

I'm under the impression that in the beginning, Chad had to maintain appearances. What I mean by that is as the President of the Jocks, he has a reputation of being a macho alpha male with aggressive tendencies. Rumors started spreading as soon as MC started talking to Sage, as evidenced by Jacob later on when MC comes to the DIK mansion for a place to stay so Chad had to confront him or lose credibility. Also, in Psychology class we learned that males who are hiding their sexual orientation tend to lash out with violence more often. Once he lost the Presidential title and he was removed from the toxic masculine environment of the alpha house, he cooled off and was able to become more comfortable with things.

Quinn is a more complicated situation than just wanting the girls to get a free education. Based on the flashbacks of her childhood, she was raised in an environment where she needed to do whatever she had to for survival. That sort of environment sometimes turns a person into a manipulator. She's using the restaurant to cover her drug ring that she has going. She's also in the process of reaching the redemptive arc of her story as well.

I fail to see any redemptive qualities of Tybalt. He's just a spoiled little rich kid with an unfounded superiority complex. He also isn't really in love with Jill... he's obsessed. Like a guy in a relationship with the mentality of "If I can't have her, nobody can".
