So, knowing what we know now does anyone think the interaction between Stephen/Jade and Chad was a little odd after the fight with the MC?
They were awfully mercenary with their daughters long term boyfriend. Unless Jill is just powerful enough to force their hand… or I suppose they might not know he was dating her all that time. Sage implies her mother knew. She mutters under her breath “was mom right” when talking about Chad being gay with the MC which indicates she discusses her relationship with her. Not guaranteed but it would be odd they didn’t know.
Thing is, DPC could have ironed out some ambiguity if Stephen/Jade had covered for Chad. If they were shown to have turned a blind eye to things he and his frat did. It’s an easy way to explain why Chad stuck with Sage. We’ve debated why he kept up the relationship with Sage when he was cold with her as far back as the flashback of the DIKs forming.
If Chad had an actual reason to feign a relationship with Sage (namely using her for her family connections and as a beard) and in turn a reason to hide his infidelity from her (namely to hide his sexuality and not piss her and her family off) his behaviour would make a lick of sense. As it stands he comes across like he doesn’t give a shit about her, gets nothing from being with her and lies for funsies.

And i got to say beside creating sublime renders (animations) and a enganging story i think the greatest asset of DPC is to envoke the perfect feelings in every scene thanks to his musical taste.
This guy knows music and how to use it !
I played many triple A titles in my days and i've never seen such a perfection regarding the usage of music to enlarge a story driven game ... an absolute masterpiece imo.

Chapter 9 there is no exact date since the one that comes is the interlude of the goddess and how that chapter will be short probably between February and March I hope

Chad probably doesnt know who sage parents are. I mean, it took 8 episodes for us to know and not a single clue was given until the clifhanger. There is a big probability that jade and Stephen doesnt know that Chad dates their daughter. Either way, if they know Chad doesnt had such a big punishment, he only got depromoted from being president.
Also I dont think Chad wanted a relationship with sage because of her parents "power", I think its more because of the traditions and history that alphas and hots have, they are always talking about them. Chad being alphas president and sage being hots president it kinda becomes natural their relationship, like princes and princesses that got married to join their kingdoms

I'm not sure of the halfway point, as DPC already made forced choices for committed relationship with the main girls (Sage, Jill, Bella, Josy, Maya) were MC promised to be faithful. Moreover, permanent affinity would also make it difficult to make desired choices now.
I feel like the game is shifting too quick from being a fun VN game towards another forced manipulated tragedy sequel (Acting Lessons when we had to make final choices). I love it as a carefree fun party game, Hell Week saga and funny Rooster game. These final decisions should have been kept for the various endings not halfway through. I'd not want another real life tragedy sequel if it's on DPC's very nature.

Well, for Jade in particular I'm sure it was so DPC could wring a little extra drama when we finally get to helping Maya in Episode 9. If the MC had waited, Jade would be denied the opportunity to throw verbal barbs and icy glares at our no-longer-cheating-with-her MC. For the same reason, the MC had to hold off telling Jill he was pursuing someone else to make sure we could still crush her hopes and dreams the hard way (and possible break her heart to boot).
I'm really not sure why Maya and Josy were left out, though. Perhaps DPC wants to twist the knife with them by having Sage announce the MC as her boyfriend (since the prime Jade drama is off the table in that scenario). But that feels like a stretch since it would only apply on Sage's branch. I suppose it's possible opting out of the throuple will be a big, tear-filled scene and DPC thought it was too much to squeeze into the end of Episode 8, but that seems a little too simplistic for him.
We'll just have to wait and see.
I don't think he changed Sage's backstory, I think he saw people had begun to put the pieces together and went a little too far to throw us off the scent. Sage's description of her father's activity, and her rationale for hiding from him, make no sense for Burke. So mission accomplished in that I stopped believing she was his daughter, but it definitely feels like a cheat. Bad form, DPC.
I realize I'm probably talking to a wall, but Episode 8 just did everything you said was impossible. You can play through the episode pursuing only one of the LIs right now; if you're a hardcore CHICK, you won't even be able to score with the side girls (except maybe for paying Sandy). Yet each branch gets its own unique content (though Sage's is short and includes no lewds for CHICKs) and the game has plenty of shared material, too. And what do you know, there was even time to work in a Quinn path, too.
It's a miracle.
I do think Tybalt is adopted, but the Burkes certainly feel like new money to me. Jade explicitly mentions how Stephen was out earning even more money during her heart to heart with the MC in Episode 4. That's usually the distinction between new money and old (which is inherited without having to do any work). It would also fit with Rusty expecting to take precedence over Tybalt in the Episode 5 flashback, or the fact that Burke isn't one of the college founders.
(It would also have been a classic hook to force Jill into a marriage with Tybalt, but it looks like that opportunity may have gone by the wayside. Too bad, so sad.)

I didn't get a sexual vibe from that particular incident. As I've said before, Jill's pronounced insecurity about sex is hard to square with her fooling around with her BFFs. I thought it was one of the few (only?) times when Jill caught her parent's ire the same way Lana did, and she doesn't like remembering it.
We know the Royces take appearances very seriously and put a lot of expectations on Jill; that's why it was important for Bianca to help her loosen up at times. But it stands to reason that getting caught drinking stolen booze might be more than a casual grounding, too.

I don't know, i loved that game i played it 6 times with different options and i have 6 different saves but i loaded one some days ago and i just played a bit and... i did not finished it.
There is almost a week that i started the update and i cant go on.
