I think Maya will get introduced to one of the sponsors, everything will be fine, and then a certain amount of time later the sponsor will turn into a creep (because that's what the sponsors are for) and that'll be Maya's drama going forward.

She'll fall ass-backwards into the Restaurant and then MC has to deal with it/Quinn. Possibly without Sage knowing because that secret is worse than her boyfriend being gay.

however the flashback remains extremely cold and antiseptic, not even when they are outside the library Bella lets herself go, now with MC in the library in front of everyone Bella is much more relaxed.
Definitely agree, perhaps it's because technically Bella's the boss now, she doesn't have to answer to anyone in the library so she feels more comfortable being herself.
But still, the way she behaved with MC in EP7 would raise some eyebrows for sure if they were seen by anyone.

You omitted something the MC included in the restaurant is not canon

but we're talking about an adult having a word with her husband in a bookstore with no customers, and Bella has the same attitude she would have with Burke :ROFLMAO:

now she's definitely in charge, but she's a teacher who is publicly taking a student into her confidence, and she's visibly more serene

I think DPC just wanted to say the game was going to touch on some issues that some people may react to.

The game does do that:
  • Mental illness (Bella)
  • Coerced prostitution (Mona and Cammy)
  • Bullying (from Chad and the jocks, mc’s flashback)
  • Homophobia (casual stuff from many characters but a strong sense from Patrick’s storyline)
  • Untimely death (mc’s mom, Jill’s sister)
  • Poverty (Neil & mc)
  • Injustice (mc getting detention for defending himself)
  • Anal sex
I mean the above stuff is all pretty tame, but could bring up painful memories or cause distress to some people.

Personally I think the opening warning is more detrimental than good. The game just needs a rating like any other media:

“Contains pornographic scenes, strong course language and mature themes”

That’d cover everything, no need to talk about being in a bad time in your life and all that shit. Plus, Jill voice acting… we didn’t need that either.
Makes sense, thanks for the breakdown.

Like I said, I wasn't worried that I would be offended; but I find the generic warning kind of unhelpful since it doesn't really indicate what you're going to encounter in the story. Mentioning 'the game deals with mental health issues, bullying, ...' is much more informative.

True, but no more so than Bella allowing MC to post online shots of her in her bikini and shots of making pancakes at her house on a sunday(?) morning, still wearing her nightie. Then of course you have public dinner dates and the infamous walk of shame in the DIK house after sucking MC dry the previous night. I think Bella has nearly given up trying to hide anything from B&R and general public.

It's a good thing she's a librian and not a teacher!

True, and yet during their date she also says that the B&R rule book matters, I wonder how DPC's going to proceed with this plotline, the easiest way is to just make it possible for students to date teachers as long as they aren't in the same class, but if he chooses for it to be forbidden then I'm definitely curious and a little bit afraid of what might happen.

Yeah, early on I had to basically shrug and say, meh it's a DPC world, what can you do? Some things make sense and some things don't. I focus more and trying to figure out where DPC is going with certain plotlines rather than lose my mind over inconsistencies in the game world logic.

he could indeed have hired a beta to hack into the dik´s laptop!

but i think the best surprise is that if its bert! Derek and the MC where in his room when the MC with his old phone (as in easyer to crack) and Derek where talking! what if bert was under the covers trying to sleep and heard the conversation?

even if this did not happen if Bert is the hacker Burke works with it still works!

to assume a mole is like a total break of trust and i must side with Jacob there is nothing good coming out of suspecting the people you should trust! if you must confirm please go ahead but never plant the seed of doubt or it will corrode the group from within!
The hacker is Maya. Read the titles of the books on her shelf.:unsure::cool:

Burke's scholarships for sex is a main theme in the story, however most of the girls involved will be on the dik path and Mona only made a brief appearance to dissappear rather soon in the story... Only exception is Maya on the chick path....

And i don't see Quinn really being a reason the expose the scheme, so far her plans were to get even more girls involved...

The other characters seem to be atleast somewhat happy with it so why would we ever try to expose the scheme?

Maya will get that scholarship offered by Burke, but she will need to agree to the same terms the other girls get it...

Her need for that tuition is the only reasons she would ever end up in that scenario.

For the same reason you will not be able to get into a relation with just either Josy or Maya ; if they don't have a relation there is no reason for Maya to even pursue that free tuition....
Stephen Burke will not offer Maya in the presence of Josy, Sage and the MC. The risk is far too great. Besides, Quinn has already given up on the idea of bringing Maya to the restaurant. The risk is too great.

If Jade is not involved in the Tuition, the risk with Maya becomes too great for Stephen Burke. Unless he has a Jade MC video.

THEORY:
Tybalt is gay. His homo boyfriend is Rich. Stephen doesn't want it to get out that his son Tybalt is gay. So he needs a woman to act as a beard. His old bearded wife won't go along with it because she doesn't want to have a heterosexual relationship anymore. No, Josy wants a three-way relationship. Tybalt knew about the relationship between Josy and Maya in EP5. He blackmails Jill because he just can't handle women. He wants Jill to be his new beard girl. Another clue is that Josy knows about this beard relationship. What did Josy say? That's a deal, you don't do that to someone unknowingly. Josy also has a funny feeling when she goes to the Burke meeting.:devilish:

I don't see why the MC's actions would effect Maya at all vis a vis the Burke's. Sage didn't approach Maya to help her because she was a friend of MC, she approached her because she was a HOT.
This is not quite correct. That Maya was a HOT is only one part. The MC has actively helped Sage. Through the MC Sage learns what true friendship means. Sage knew since EP3 that Maya and the MC are close friends. When Maya approaches Sage about changing her mother, Quinn herself tells Sage that Maya's head was twisted by a Maggot. In EP7, Sage says that she talked to the MC and Josy, and Sage also tells Maya in EP7 that she can settle a debt along the way. In EP8 before the meeting, Sage says she has her own reasons for helping Maya.

Given that the mc doesn't even look to be going into the meeting, he may end up being completely unimportant to the deal, but if he goes into the meeting at some point, his relationship with Jade (and Burke's potential knowledge of it) could potentially hijack the meetings.
I have a different feeling about that. I could well imagine that it will be more about the MC than about Maya. Basket Ball could play a big role in that. What the fuck are the Alpha's doing. They train almost exclusively with weights to build muscle. Is that supposed to be a college sport. The Alpha's are anything but a team and Dawe sucks, whether as president or player. Hell Sage is even better than Dawe. She hits him dead on target after all.

Did you guys notice Tommy's TShirt at the DIK breakfast from EP7?
NN 28=Conner. Chad's last name is Conner. Don't argue but read Cluck.(y)

What if the MC in EP8 scores more than Chad Conner's 28 point record? In EP8 the MC can give Josy useful tips for trainigg. Personally, I don't want a Buff Josy either. In the EP8 hang out of Josy/Maya/MC, the three of them play water polo. Maya says afterwards that the MC is competitive. What if the MC gets offers to build a women's basketball team? Jade would be thrilled. Sage would be totally happy because that way the HOT's can free themselves from the Alpha tradition. Great girls they have, and Jill might play basketball better than tennis. In Derek's Moose Lounge hang two crucial pictures in EP8. A basketball court and below it a Polaroid picture of Derek in DIK jacket and Maya. I'm sure Jill took that picture.

Do you want the MC to put together a coaching team? Heather asks the MC about the best cook. Healthy eating is important. Who knows what Derek's skills are? At least on the EP4 Derek route has a basketball on his shelf. Did Derek play a lot with Maya? By the way, the name Bailey comes up a lot in American college basketball.:coffee::D

If, Maya could get a sports scholarship.

So far the whole sell your body for a scholarship theme has been running from pretty much the start untill the end of season 2. It would be a total anti-climax if Burke would start playing nice and giving her the scholarship for just making Sage happy.
Ofcourse he's not gonna play fair, he will just say he will look into it and handle the more risky parts away from any observers.
Quinn still isn't friends with Maya, that alone is reason enough besides her involvement with Burke's scheme....
You're talking about risk but the only girl that didn't agree (Mona) has not been seen or heared from since she left...
There's no proof anywhere... The whole situation with Maya serves just that purpose.... eventually you will bring him down...
The other girls just will not talk... ever...
