Ok, let's see.
So, general expectatives weren't really high and the update feels to little for a 3 and half months. It mostly comes to porn really, only two scenes, first with a particular feature that most people don't really are into (blue hair yet great ass), and second more comical than hot scene with a non-MC-guy. As we expected in terms of porn this was more of a waste time than anything.
It's sad couse there were so much potential, a giant beach in summer full of beautifull girls in bikini... but then again with the anti NTR iron rule that lay over these games and the anti-lesbian scenes outrage (really? not even one?), there wasn't too many options to work with. If the MC could visit that beach we could have a nice proper fuck fest thought.
In term of story thought i think it was good enough. Specially the execution was good, as usually is.
It would have worked better as part of a bigger episode since players are quite focused on the MC, but if someone found this game, let's say by ep 10, this interlude will work fine. It's usual for narration to stop at climatic moments to go to secondary plot lines. Impatient players (I am one of them) could get anoyed but it maintain suspense.
The dual relation of the relationship of MC and Zoey with Ems and Bret works fine, the fact that we look at Zoey feelings for the MC while we have seen the MC behaviour at B&R gives the whole thing some sad vibe. I felt compelling the story, the grandma, Zoey character, and the dissapoinment about kids dreams. It seems there is some inspiration in the most popular girl of Summertime Saga, Eve, in Zoey.
For thoose who say they are not interested in Zoey as a character... well you don´t have to really. That's why there are 5 different LI's plus sides, couse people like different girls. And if you don't like as a character couse she is a young girl who don't know what to do with her life... well this story is about young people, i really don't know what you expect. If they all have figure out what they want and what they are for sure they would not be young at all. Maybe they should reconsider their opinion about 18's years old people... they can be dumb some times but the charm of the youth when everything is exiting and its full of posibilities. After all it's easy to know what you are and what to do when you have benn doing the same for 20 years and are to old to start something new.
For thoose who thinks it doesnt have sense to bring it up by after 8 episodes with no character development... well, she is a plot twist, and that's how plot twist are meant to do, to subert expectations, and to came with no development who can highligth them. It's not a relationship slowly built like the LI's, its purpose seems to be more of a test in the path of every LI. A sort of ex's-test, like that movie, Scott Pilgrim. Yet, as a test would be less significant just with the little information we had until the Interlude. In any case we would see how things evolved and what DPC really want to do with her.
Apart from this, I have to say I love the quality of renders. If porn scenes were great in ep8, every single render of this interlude was amazing. Even the small images we had of the usual girls from the intro and the ending were some of the best images we had from them. I look into ep9 wich seems it's going to be amazing.
