If you haven't heard it before then you haven't been reading the thread. Admittedly, there is a lot in this thread, so I can see some things being missed.

The idea that she's undercover is basically fueled by her coming from nowhere(other than the strip club, of course) and just seamlessly inserting herself into almost everything. She tries to get inserted into all the party action, not just at a base level but with the people running the show. Every move she makes seems to be about connecting herself with people in positions of power, which means anything that's going on is more likely to be done by those people, or at least connected enough to it to glean information. If the MC is on even a moderately DIKish run and hooks up with her she'll try and attach to him as well, as he's making waves on campus and becoming something of a leader himself. Consider that everybody under the sun knows MC is packing a big dick, dating multiple people (or having at least spread the seed far and wide), and she still pushes him to be her regular. She wants to roll with the MC, a guy who spends a lot of his time in the company of Tommy, Quinn, and even various faculty members.

Could it all be completely unrelated? Sure, it totally could be. It's also just a little too direct and immediate for what amounts to a freshman who just joined the school trying to get an 'in' with all these different folks. MC sorta fell into it, he didn't make connecting himself to power people his motivation.
Ah, but this is the perfect trope, you see. Just like often happens in life, and in all those movies DPC was fond of, the person you want/wants you always shows up after you've gotten into a committed relationship with somebody else. My life wasn't all about the drama, but it happened on occasion. Didn't get together with one of them until 20 years post-schooling. One of us was always dating somebody else in the meantime, and unlike the MC, we weren't big on the cheating angle.

JFC. I have no idea who the Giga-Chad here really is, but.. damn. I hear women say they want a 6-pack and this fucker brings a 10-pack to the game. He's got to go. ;)
He's done nothing to make me want Zoey though.

Nothing in the interlude or flashback made me go, I want to see more of this girl.

Also I'm concerned about the Others path going forward, DPC might have trouble designing a path with numerous lewd scenes per episode with multiple girls while other paths are getting date content and not as much sex and turn the other path into Zoey.

Which is not at all what I want to see, and one of the reasons I don't patron the game, as much as lets us make DIK decisions and have fun, at the centre of the MC is the soul of an emotional little bitch.

My opinion only. I appreciate the skill and hard work that went into Interlude, but it cost the game months of lost time to deliver CH9.
I don't think the interlude of his own brought who knows what slowdown

there were events that would have delayed the arrival of the ninth chapter anyway: the launch on the two platforms of the second season, the mechanism for importing saves, the COVID week of DPC

net that we would have had a flashback on ZOey anyway.

so the delay solely due to the interlude in my opinion is minimal, a few weeks, at most a month

By the way, aarbei, I thought your choice of pics for Sage and Bella were great, but those of Melissa were outstanding.

EDIT: I'm liking what it does to some of my favorite fan art.

If there is one thing I don't understand about this community it's the obsession that the Halloween party needs to be in October.

Should episode 10 which will most likely cover Thanksgiving, come out the following November?

It's a goofy mentality.
I never said it needs to be in October did I? I only said the episode would land much closer to the end of October. And while of course it's not necessary, it is a nice thing.

And has DPC said anything about Thanksgiving, both in-game or in his updates? As far as I know, I don't think so.

I'm not sure what's more goofy, calling out the fact that a known Halloween episode would likely land near end of October, or claiming that a Thanksgiving episode with no hint of that in-game or in status updates, with a speculative release date, again with no hint of that in-game or in status updates.

I respect your position. Many feel the same way. However the interlude had the complete opposite effect on me. Before the interlude, I never wanted to see Zoey ever again. After playing it, she has become the primary LI for my MC [subject to change again - I can be fickle :)].

People will always disagree on LIs. It is inevitable. I say, so what!

Joking aside, I hope you enjoy the game. I worked my ass off to create this and boy this is expensive.

I need funding to complete this project.

If you can't afford to donate on Patreon, you can still show support by liking or reviewing the game.

Cheers
There's Steam also right?

I remember this theory coming out of nowhere (kinda like Lily) and the weirdest thing is that it's based on nothing solid. The part the whole thing falls apart is that it implies that the drug/prostitution ring is so big that it's tracked on a federal level and they send an undercover cop to spoil the whole damn thing and put those in charge behind bars.

I don't remember who came up with it, but whoever came up with it probably watched Donnie Brasco (or read the book), since the guy rips off like the whole plot of the movie.

Yes. DrPinkCake is certainly not lacking when it comes to funding this game. He may be the most profitable developer of porn games out there.
That's not the way I meant it. I am actually going to wind up getting it on Steam especially if it has the soundtracks. The soundtrack in this game is really tight. And this is one of the most well put together games on here. I have nothing but positive things to say on this game.

When did we first see signs of Riona's stalker, out of curiosity?

And why would it have to be considered Federal level? Are you saying only the Feds ever do undercover work?

Thanksgiving or Christmas would be the perfect "Meet the Parents" opportunity. Except.....if you already porked Jade.
The funniest scenario would have been if a Dik MC got to meet Jill's parents.

The first time we got a hint of Riona's stalker was when she mentioned that she felt like she was being followed (I don't remember exactly when, but it might have been Episode 6 or 7).

Joseph D. Pistone mentions it in his book how to actually become an undercover cop. I have to look it up to quote him word by word, but basically before going undercover you are mostly a street agent - dealing with informators and etc. The government isn't that stupid to send some random bozo that's been on patrol for 2 months into an undercover mission in a drug/prostitution ring.

I'm inclined to take his word for it, you know a guy that was undercover in the mafia for 6 years, was on the brink of becoming a made man and his work led to over 100 convictions of mafia members.

I think it was the same episode in which Quinn got robbed, so Episode 6.

after Quinn is robbed, when she talks to Riona in the HOTs garden.

In the movies it's usually like this....
anyone can have an informant but the undercover agents are federal stuff, usually from the DEA

I didn't mean to imply that you meant anything other than your direct question. So, please forgive me for highjacking your post and adding my own comment about DPC's making a shit-ton of money - which I do NOT oppose, by the way.

It's no problem....:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:...you didnt hijack anything or say anything wrong or controversial....and even if you did there's still no apology required....:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Yeah the soundtrack on here has that sweet Blink-182/American Pie vibe to it.

Also, keep in mind that some of the characters from the interlude will also pop up in future episodes.
The San Diego crew picking up and following Zoey to B&R city? Why?? Why would they want to do that for someone they hardly know? You don't just drop everything to follow some aimless, wandering vagrant across the country. A vagrant who doesn't even know what she wants in life other than some big dick action. After a few weeks at B&R she will probably again decide she doesn't like it and must instead become an Alaskan fisherwoman because it is her real life's dream and dead granny would have wanted it.

I don't even know why the San Diego crew would want to temporarily visit B&R even they were somehow besties with Zoey. B&R is not exactly a tourist mecca, at least as compared to beachfront property. All they would do is take even more time away from the real cast members. It's bad enough Zoey is coming to town, but Amy Winehouse and Mr. Pink too? Please stay in San Diego.

Now, if you mean MC and friends going to San Diego for spring break, then I guess I could see DPC doing something like that, but the San Diegans visiting B&R, not so much..
And I pray to the F95 porn gods that DPC doesn't do periodic future cutaways to San Diego so we can check back on the exploits of boring people running a slow business that has nothing to do with MC or Being A DIK.

And I'm like you I have no Probs with these devs tried to get paid for their work. I'm still hestitant with some of the others trying to figure out who's reputable and who's not. You got people soaking some people on here and their game hasn't seen an update in two years...lol...I feel bad for some of the other devs because it makes it harder for them.

That's a very reasonable real-world comparison, but we're living in DPC's world, which he himself admits was fueled by a bunch of American Pie and other 80s-90s style films. The informant who helps unravel everything (and maybe catch the MC on a tangent) would absolutely fit in with some of that garbage.

I don't discount your citation of source, he is a good one, but this is brought to us by the same guy who fueled weeks of "Why is Maya so fucking stupid with her student loan issue? LOANS DON'T WORK LIKE THAT!". ;)

As I said originally, it could be entirely coincidental circumstances, it may very well be nothing at all, but it has those threads and I pluck at them on occasion, as do others.
