The examples of what Josy would do were to counter that she would be boring. The rest of the girls, even if they would be up to some stuff, have the issues that I suggested.

Jill is a pain in the fucking ass. We've actually seen her go scuba diving, so no argument there ( :p ), but we've also seen her go behind the mc's back multiple times against his wishes and cause problems. So that's real. She's also easy to con, we've seen it (maybe her standing up to Tybalt is the end of that). So whether Jill is outgoing or not (she is though, she enjoys sports etc), her negative traits are a lot to accept:
  • Excessively stubborn.
  • Makes decisions for you, not with you.
  • Naïve. Yes it might change, but supposedly her friends have been trying to get her to stop being a dumbass for a while now...
  • Her reading signs into random events is a recipe for disaster!
  • She has a butt ugly smile. Things are going good, you're both happy, then you look at her and she's smiling and you're like, what the fuck have I done!?
This is a case of, could you live with someone like that for years? I couldn't.

Bella, with age, has proven she can look after herself. So among all the girls she's the most responsible and capable. But she's also set in her ways. She's very controlling - she typically has full control of the relationship, the mc tries to kid himself he has some control, but he doesn't. How much compromise would there be in such a relationship, and how much just doing what she says would there be? You say you don't care about the age gap, that's all good and all, but it isn't something you can ignore forever. If you were her age it'd be different, but the fact she is a teacher, and the age discrepancy exists, I feel she'd always hold authority over the mc. I've actually seen that with a friend; that's not a good relationship (and it was only a 10 year gap).

I also think Bella would be the kind of wife that would nit pick everything you do. "Do it this way", "What are you doing!?" etc. Plus she's possibly a serial killer...

To me it's probably a contest between Josy and Sage, and since Sage has a bad temper, Josy wins. I fucking hate women that fly off the handle all the time.

But all in all, different strokes for different folks. I'm definitely not saying you're wrong, you're just looking for different things.

I've made some really big mistakes in my short life already, and they've all involved women, so I'm a lot more calculative now when it comes to personalities. Easy going and outgoing are the best characteristics in my book. Shit happens in life, and you want to be with someone who can roll with the punches and share the ups and downs with. Not someone who just makes that shit even harder.

:giggle:

That makes her boring as far as a story goes, but in real life you don't want a girl with big problems. In real life you make your own stories together. In a novel, characters are defined by their backstories. So yeah, Josy's lack of a significant backstory hinders her in this game. Her big issue was she had a falling out with her parents. But she resolved it. That's actually fucking awesome.

A list of Josy's characteristics (they are not mind blowing, but they give some insight into who she is).

All this said, Josy is not my favourite character, I'm just chiming in with who I think would be the best, long term, if this shit were real. As far as who my favourite is, I don't even fucking know. It's probably Quinn (who I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole in real life!) :ROFLMAO:

Hmm, Bella has been shown to not always be in control when she's around MC, for example in EP6 when she stays with him after helping him with his room, or EP7 in the library when she clearly flirts with him although anyone one could catch them at any time and there's a couple more instances like this. Hell, you could even argue that MC is the controlling one because although she did not want to mess around with him in the beginning, he just kept pushing her until she couldn't control herself.

Now, perhaps this is because of the intense feelings she has at the moment and when eventually they get into a serious relationship and the honeymoon phase is over she will get more serious and stop loosing her cool around him (although even this is hard to believe for me, in the flashback, she refused to fuck James in her workplace but she just couldn't 100% manage herself and gave in when he suggested a make out session).
But this is only speculation, for now, both her and MC have had serious discussions where they talked about and accepted each others's feelings and opinions, until shown otherwise I'll believe that she would actually be a decent gf instead of being a mean, authoritarian bitch.

It's not that i don't like Josy, but when i think about her i only see the void, she is funny and pretty but well she has not much to say, she doesn't have problems or anything interesting but her butt. Even Maya has some shit going on and seems more alive, Josy is always ok, nice and well ... a little boring.

Not sure how the other girls would be better than Josy in the long run (maybe Sage):

  • I think Jill would eventually drive you to murder. She's got weird ideas about destiny and shit. That would drive me mad. Also she keeps doing shit against your will because "she knows best" and then get all sad when it goes fucking pear-shaped. She panics, she's easily tricked, she's basically just lacking in common sense. No, Jill is for the short term, she's the trophy girlfriend for college, then move the fuck on. For god's sake, move the fuck on!

  • Bella, in the long term, will always be almost 20 years older than you. The only time that works is right now, when he's 19 and she's late 30s. The disparity only gets worse as the years go by. Sure it could work out, but typically this kinda age gap isn't a good idea. When you're 40+ and she's 60+ ... It doesn't sound too exciting. Bella's already getting boring. Her idea of a good time is relaxing with a good book, a glass of wine and some sandwiches. I don't give a fuck how good those sandwiches are, that is a boring time for a couple. And look how unadventurous she became with James.

  • Sage is probably OK. I don't really get the vibe that she'd be the annoying, jealous or paranoid type girlfriend. She wasn't paranoid with Chad, he really was fucking cheating on her, and he kept denying it. Her stalking wasn't too unwarranted. She's able to take responsibility for shit (anyone got a wife like that? Didn't think so...). I think she's got the kinda body that wouldn't age well, but who cares, looks are only for now anyway.

  • Quinn... I don't know how someone like that is someone you'd want a future with. Someone who always wants more, and will do stupid shit that backfires in order to get more? Fuck that. She'd become tiresome soon enough, always trying to one-up you, always trying to act aloof. Nah, the appeal with Quinn is to break that mould, not to embrace it.

No, to me, Josy is great. She's fun and easy going and ridiculously cute. That doesn't get boring. It only gets boring if you're boring. You wanna go scuba diving, she'd be up for it. You wanna travel the world, I can see her being down with that. You like doing anal with her... just make sure you've got enough RPs, you'll be fine. Sure when she starts hitting her 70s she's gonna shrink even more, but at that point who gives a fuck (Bella would be dead and buried by then).

Just whatever you do, don't marry a Jill.
Shazba I couldn't agree more, but I have to add something about Josy. :D(y)

Maya is slowly becoming a second Josy when it comes to sex. But Josy and Maya also have different interests. The MC certainly doesn't get bored in the throuple and I don't just mean the sexual side of the coin.

As one gets older, they will discover a certain appreciation for normal in their lives, rather than manic neurotics and drama queens. "Oh, woe is me, I'm dating a nice girl of off-white coloring with a great ass, who orgasms easily, and wants my magic stick."

Boo. Fucking. Hoo. Sign me up. Er, a younger me, that is. At my age now, just fuck off and give me space. Good thing she's got Maya to share a bed with.

Multiple times? It was only one time, the Chad and Troy thing. Yes, there she did something against MC wishes, although she had good intention, it's a teenage drama, and it was more weird that she did it, so fast after barely know MC. But its not really a negative thing that she is stubborn and takes matters in to her own hand, unlike some one else.....
Even the Tybalt situation it's not the problem that she did it by her own, more so that How she did it. If she would have put him in to his place right from the get go, things would feel different, . But we need the "arc" for her to reach that point, where she finally snap at him.

Josy , Jill, Maya and Sage. They all are good wife material. They more or less represent different wives, although Maya probably the most ordinary Wife.
She probably gonna stay home, and raise the offsprings, while you out there making the money.
whereas Josy , Jill and Sage, can be "career wives".
but the biggest difference between them and Bella, is come from the fact that you can experience the life with them together. Whereas Bella already experienced all the thing MC is about to start to experience.
Making it Bella to be the worst choice to be a Wife, in long term.

You just made my point... you can start something for FUN ! if both of us is okay with that... ( let's not forget YOU are in control of Fuckface' decisions  ) but your suggestions are for the future ( marriage :p ) which is unknown for us and unknown for the LIs as well... who knows what the story holds ?! ( Bella is out of the picture here... +20 years is a given either way so you have to accept that to go along with the idea ;) )
Learning from the past, living in the present and planning for the future.:rolleyes::D(y)

Josy's butt alone outshines all contrary arguments for me.

There are two allegedly trivial scenes that I liked and that I think illustrate Josy's character quite well.
One was in the cafeteria after Lucas (good bloke btw) greeted her. Maya mentioned how easy it is for Josy to make friends. She responded by saying it's not easy and takes effort (talk to people and stay friendly).
The other one was towards the end, when the group is on their way to Burke's. She approaches Fuckface wondering what they're here for actually, trying to achieve.
To me these little scenes show she's communicative, realistic and smart. Given more story, she would make a great LI imo, beyond being girl next door.
Could also me overanalysing anyway. :KEK:

It's funny, for quite a while on these boards I had the impression I was one of the older members (I knew there were a couple of cranky old men in our midst); I just figured pretty much everyone else was roughly between 15-25 years here.

More and more I'm gauging that so many here are 30+.

As of tomorrow, I'll be joining that rank!

1. Maybe in real life, in the long run, Jill would be the perfect option. She is rich and from a good family, naive and trusts you, so you can easily pull money out of her for whores and casinos. But in general, she really has a trait that pisses me off the most about her - she thinks she's smarter than you and that she knows what's best for both of us. Damn, it's not even about the fucking signs! I think after MС сum in her tight pussy, she already knew what your child's name would be, when the wedding was and where they would fly on their honeymoon. These girls planning everything for several years ahead are incredibly annoying!
For real. She is supposed to be the perfect option for the future because she is rich? For me this is the worst option and has no value for a love relationship. On the contrary. It becomes a relationship that would be characterized by financial dependence and does not make a person happy.

2.Bella will be a great starting position for a beginner. I also believe that over time the age difference will make itself felt. Unless you're Macron and you're not going to be president of France. :KEK: Within 3-5 years you will learn a lot from Bella. She will pass on her knowledge about women's psychology, love, relationships, cooking and much more. And then when you're 25, you'll move on, and you'll remain good friends. Perhaps this is a great option for a young guy, but for Bella it will be too much, even she herself admits that the age difference is critical.
3.Damn, I love Sage. She may have a nasty and explosive temper, but it will never be boring with her. She is one of those girls that a few years after the breakup you will still remember and say that you had a lot of women, but Sage was special. You will have wild sex and experiments, she will be ready to do the craziest things with you, she will be ready to support you in a difficult moment. For introverted and passive guys, this is a good option, although in the end she will get tired of it and she will find a more temperamentally suitable guy. I know several cases in real life when the best marriages were between a calm guy and a crazy girl. They will balance and restrain each other.
4.Josie really looks like a girl you can meet at the store in line or at work. True, most "josies" don't have such a gorgeous ass! I can't say anything against her. She is a great girl and a wife, but her certain passivity can become one of the problems in a relationship.
You just have a problem with fate. And, obviously, not wanting to listen to Jill. You also have a problem with a non-girl-friend dragging you to her friends (who are all married) dinner and implying you both are a couple. You also have a problem with not wanting to be her girlfriend after she is scored as what can only be described as a "1 out of 5" lay.
You also have a problem with--(after completely saving her reputation at her recital)-- not seeing you as good enough when afterward she abandons you to go see her friends, including her mom. :ROFLMAO: :D

Dude, forums are old-school internet, populated by those of us intimidated by the Tick Tocks, InstantGrams and the MeSpaces.

I'm shocked there's anyone under 45 here

There are a fair few scenes where she demonstrates logic and good reason. Add to that she is what seems to be incredibly loyal to those close to her. Bonus, will take a full load of MC in the mouth at anytime. Too many wins to mention.

MC fucked Quinn and Sage and didn't even break a sweat. (y)
MC fucked Riona and Camilla, Sage and Lily at the same party and didn't break a sweat. (y)
MC fucked Jill and sweated as if he had run 10 km through a wooded area.
The MC's windows had only been repaired for a few hours when Jill showed up, so presumably the thermostat in his room is set too high now that there's no draft. :p

Interesting.

First, this would imply that Quinn is therefore ignorant and intolerant because she assumes Maya looks down on her, but you yourself write that Maya's attitude is more "live and let live" and intolerant because Quinn shows contempt for the people who reject her view.

When Maya agreed to the HOTs, Quinn wanted Camila and Maya for the restaurant. This is evident from the first Freeroam event in college when the MC went to the WC. At that point, Quinn had no further information about Maya.
First, the conversation we overhear between her and Riona has no context. It's not clear if Quinn is discussing Camila and Maya as HOT pledges or as restaurant dishes. Yes, by Episode 3 we know Quinn is planning on adding Maya to the menu, but we don't know when that started. Second, it doesn't take much time to get a read on Maya; it's not like she conceals her views (save on her own sexuality, obviously). I don't think Maya would intentionally insult Quinn, but Quinn's quite willing to take offense anyway.

But what you wrote could still be true. In the first Gender Studies class, Maya was paired with Sarah for the discussion. Sarah is on the menu at Quinn's restaurant. So Quinn likely received information about Maya and her perspective. As a result, Quinn saw Maya through different eyes and began to play with Maya.

This puts the café conversation from EP1 between Maya and the MC in a different light. This was before the first gender studies class, but after Maya had agreed to be at the HOTs. Maya also convinced the MC to sign up for the Gender Studies course in that interim. I just wonder if Maya was instructed by Quinn to interview the MC so Quinn could get information about the MC.

Sorry. I can't help thinking that Quinn recognized the MC from her high school days, but hasn't seen him in a while and wants more information about him.
I'm sure Quinn does get information from Sarah. I do not believe she instructed Maya to get close to the MC since I doubt she'd expect Maya to share her insights on the MC with Quinn.

As for your apophenia, I'm afraid there's not much I can do to help with that.
