The #1 cause for that is you used a walkthrough mod in the past, and haven't updated it with episode 8's latest walkthrough. The game detects that you've installed a mod and kicks you out. If you install the latest mod, that detection logic gets removed.

Before CHICK and DIK there was Paragon and Renegade.

(Yes I know Lightside & Darkside came before that, but Paragon and Renegade fit way better here)

Tatiana is a goddess. She's the real deal, great actor (check out the first season of orphan black), super hot. Funny too, she's got an old quirky weird comedy from a decade ago.

Jill is a raccoon.

That is not the same.

Fake and gay, I played straight renegade (Dik) and I didn't get to bang more than one girl. The doctor, the alien with the hips like Shakira, the other love interest, even the hooker made me work for it. I didn't even get a threesome.

I DID get a genre defining narrative and character driven story, with incredible concepts and questions that challenged my morality, but what I really wanted was a threesome, soooooo.......

in she hulk (at least the trailer), however, they gave her similar treatment to what DPC gives Jill

quite unwatchable

No wonder I don't like CHICK/DIK system, I never liked any of the morality systems in these games, not even in KOTOR where you have the in universe lore explanation for it. It goes against the very nature of an RPG, you should RP with your choices, but by doing so and not going in only one direction, you got locked out of content, double that for dark side missing even more content because you would kill people that would give questlines down the line, with very little, or no alternatives for the meanie players.

I will die on this hill, all of these games, especially ME would have been better just with a traditional choices/paths/consequences vs having to play two scripted playthroughs to experience everything.

Sorry, but Bioware doesn't have strong balls to do something like that. Now they are unable to do anything at all.

I kinda hate doing it, but I have to agree with Geralt_From_Rivia on this one. Jade Empire was probably the last time you saw a BioWare game released before Electronic Arts took over and turned them into a puppet studio, severely curtailing their development freedoms. They give a lot of lip service to being able to do what they want, but time and again this has been shown to be complete bollocks.

An unpleasant contrast to DPC, who is able to do everything he wants as long as it doesn't violate Patreon's funding rules. Though being realistic, I think DPC has probably made more producing his game now than any single person responsible for the development of BW's games in the last decade.

Clearly you've never played Arcanum of Stemworks and Magic Obscura. TRY IT!!! :p

I wish BADIK was that complex. But considering it is a porn game, it's still the best in that genre.

I mean BaDIKs affinity and status effects is like Aptitude and Alignment from Arcanum.

First one defines your play style (either DIK or CHICK and either Mage or Technician in Arcanum). You can't change it that easily, at some point of the game it become permanent. Based on your aptitude some characters starts to see you as friend or foe. You can also chose the neutral path but it's dull af.

Second one is temporal effect (it becomes nearly permanent only if player chose so). Alignment changes almost with every action player do (good or evil deeds affects the alignment accordingly). Same as aptitude it affects how other characters interact with your character but, unlike aptitude, alignment much easier to change. You can start your path as villain but end up as hero and vice versa.
