So, Maya being proactive consist in waiting that the HOTs solve her problems, and waiting that MC helps her to pass the worst tasks to become a HOT...
Maya can pass the HOT Scavenger Hunt with or without the MC's help, so she's clearly not waiting for him. And she's no more waiting for the HOTs to solve her problem then she'd be waiting for an employer to solve her problem if she got a job and paid off her loan in increments (as she should be doing).

Again, you are conflating Maya making bad decisions with Maya sitting on her ass and doing nothing.

Maya doesn't tell MC about her problems, but she involves him into her problems anyway since the infamous night she wakes up him to go to the maggots party and the cum-petition. She don't even need to tell him clearly about her problems, just need to play the cart of damsel in distress and emotional blackmail. And DPC doesn't even allow the player to say to her "it's your problem and I have my onw ones, let me alone, please" even after she didn't tell him that she was into a relationship, with another girl, no less...
Umm, by that logic it was Quinn who involved the MC, not Maya.

Now it's true that the MC can't tell Maya to fuck off the instant he meets her, but that's part and parcel of writing a computer game; there have to be limits on what the player can do. (Though frankly even in a pen & paper game with a live GM, flagrantly ignoring plot hooks like that would still probably doom the campaign, or at least drive it into Darths & Droids style antics.) Either way, the MC doesn't actually *do* anything to help Maya join the HOTs unless you tell him to.

I will agree, however, that if the MC was rejected by Maya and Josy in Episode 4 it makes no sense for them to call him for help at the end of Episode 6 or join them to visit the Burkes at the end of Episode 8). DPC should have added alternative scenarios for people who want as little to do with the pair as possible. Criticizing the one-size-fits-all approach he took to maximize cliffhanger drama is definitely a fair knock on his writing.

Unlikable character (except, again, for the 3D model) for any player that is not a lesbian and feels somehow identified, or thinks (like apparently DPC does) that she's a poor victim of the "heteropatriarchy" (great theme for a fucking porn game ) and any negative trait must be forgiven to her. We are forced by DPC to pity and sympathize her. I don't pity Maya and don't sympathize her. I'm tired of that kind of stories in movies, TV series and even fucking porn games. Maya lives in 2019, not 1919. It's not such a great problem to be gay nowadays. There is no need in make that a secret in a modern university in USA. She's not a girl any more. If she has a terrible relationship with her father for any reason (I'm sure she's not the only one in B&R), she could get a job to pay her expenses, study something cheaper for now, and take responsibility about her own life. That way she wouldn't depend of her father (that of course has the right to choose his God over everything and can't be forced to like her own daughter and pay her expenses), or involve others in her problems. Everybody has problems, gay or not. It's artificial drama, as always with DPC.
Hey, you do you. But within the context of the game world, it is unquestionably a serious problem for Maya to be gay. If that annoys you, then by all means don't play the game. But it's DPC's call how his world works, and he laid this out clear and simple. It is not bad writing on DPC's part to tell a story that does not conform to your personal views. Nor is it bad writing for a shy, sheltered girl like Maya to not understand how to get a job and leverage the income to hire a lawyer and clear her debts (though it might be nice if her friends explained the possibility to her).

If you want to complain about something that IS bad writing, focus on the inane financial gobbledygook that supposedly enforces Patrick's ultimatum. That makes no sense no matter how you slice it. Personally, I'm willing to roll with it because I otherwise like Maya and her story arc (though that arc is feeling rather flat at the moment), but you obviously have no such inclination.

The game universe is not identical to ours and resembles the US of the George W. Bush era , although the calendar is about the present. There is no cancel culture - feminists don't get expelled from college for trolling and can be argued with, promoting conservative views without the risk of persecution. Free speech is okay. Chad and Troy, Maya and Josy hide their relationship because same-sex couples are still condemned in their world. No one is fighting the "frat boys culture" - frats live and thrive, unlike our US, where they are subject to restrictions.
BaDIK is our world with the culture of the early 00s.

There's no shame in recognizing the flaws of a product you like and wanting it to be better.
I don't see the problem with criticisms. Though, I don't really care too much about how good or bad the writing is for BADIK. It's one of those games where it hits all the right notes for me. As long as there are no egregious grammar/spelling errors and the overall tones are communicated then I'm just fine.
Finding and acknowledging flaws in a product is fine too but I don't see the point in going on and on about it as if you dislike the game. If I find something in a game that I don't like that leads me to disliking the game to that extent then I just leave a bad review and drop it.
I mean even if DPC still lurks on this forum sometimes, it's not like he's going to respond well to someone leading with his writing being terrible.

join them to visit the Burkes at the end of Episode 8
Just a little correction that is Sage who asks MC to go with them meet her parents. Even if players are in MJ path. And there is a choice to make MC said that he will go because Sage is ask him to go or because of Maya.

I am aware. But whether or not Sage requested his presence, I very much doubt an MC who was flat out rejected by Maya and Josy would accompany them (unless he was on Sage's branch instead, I suppose). Trying to "just be friends" with them in that particular circumstance is a recipe for disaster, even if he still cares for them. Hell, especially if he still cares for them.

Popular = good. Yeah. I guess 50 shades of gray is one of the greatest novels of all time.
It'll depend on your definition of "greatest". It wouldn't be very hard to argue few "novels of all time" can claim having as much impact on sexual practices of average people as this one did. Mainly due to its popularity, yes.

The saddest part of it being somewhat popular (Not actually in the top 20 or anything) is that it is BDSM as written by someone who overheard a conversation about a TV show about a book that said the word BDSM

So I doubt it added much to sexual practices.
It had allegedly doubled number of recorded ER visits due to bdsm-related accidents not long after gaining popularity, because as you note it's not any good at conveying proper ways one should go about it. What i meant by impact was that it evidently caused tons of people to actually experiment with these concepts (and without doubt many, many more to even consider and/or discuss them) when they otherwise wouldn't.

To drag it back kicking and screaming somewhat back on topic, it's something no AVN can really claim, Being a DIK included. /s

I didnt really understand this part, after MC goes to Bella's house to talk to Cathy, why exactly did Jill and Bella have that little fight and Jill had to sleep in the sofa with MC?

It's never explained in game, at least up to this point.

Popular guess is Jill has humped Bella in her sleep, kind of like she can do it with MC, and Bella didn't appreciate it very much.
