So about basement and keys, yes its as mentioned here above.
The Keys
1. 697 is the code for the freezer (chop in mid for number)
2. it will be present in the green slime (entrance door for clue)
3. go inside the cage. press up.. move ur cursor and u ll find the key attachd to a horizontal bar..it will be highlighted when you hover the mouse in the middle of the screen
I want to add it is imperative to turn around and CHECK paper on entrance door, click on it. It not straitforward as in scene before, MC checks out , so yes you need to check it again for clues about goo and cage. Then it works as intended. from here.

I don't know but are you using a modded save? maybe it's the reasonhey guys I need some help,
I don't know why, but the game automatically shuts itself down after the first scene with Jacob and Tommy in episode 9.
Does anyone know why and how to fix it?
would appreciate it.
It is update patch for those who already downloaded the Interlube, basically Interlube + update patch equals Eposode 9.

u mean warhammer 40k abadons the despoilers's capital ship?
no im just using a normal save,
i use the update patch from interlude to episode 9
i extracted all the files to the right location it says version 0.9.0 in the bottom corner.
but it just shuts down after Jacob says that they are missing the keg
