We are not going to see much conflict in episode 10, but I think things will pick up in episode 11. This plot will go on for long long time, I am talking years. You think waiting 3 years to bang Jill was long ? Lmao

I would for example make a difference why she wants to keep it a secret. Are the reasons intrinsic or extrinsic for example. In this case it is not due to her free will, but because it could cost her her job or potentially even worse get her into jail (?).

And for practical reasons: You have to wait for new updates so long, so you might as well just try out all the available paths, even if it isn't your preferred one.

Jill is a naive and foolish girl who treated Tybalt well. No wonder she agreed to three dates. Even Bella herself says she's too naive.

MC doesn't know anyone's family names, especially his own mother. He never asked questions or even checked the legal documents from inheritance. Everyone knows there are no names on legal documents. (My favourite one)

MC is literally the village idiot. He knows nothing but how to fight and work with his hands. In fact, throughout the game, the DPС did a great job of portraying the MC as a complete idiot manipulated by everyone. And yes, it's a plot crutch, Chekov's gun.
