So guys, I would like to discuss the more emotional moments of the game. Everything involving Lana, "Do you see?", the breakups after the Crossroads choice, etc.

How successfully do you think DPC has executed these scenes, and how much does it impact your replays? Does the story positively benefit from the more mature, "darker" themes?

the emotional moments, which DPC did not pretend to be such, are all quite successful, the simpler they are (like the scene of Bella alone on the phone dealing with the end of the story with MC) the more they get to the target.


Of the various moments you mentioned: the Lana issue for now hasn't really grabbed me much, and it's not even overly dramatic so far, her father's inability to deal with it is something we've really recently discovered, and in Jill's behavior it's never been such a central aspect, recurring yes, but not that important, as an adult she doesn't even appear that angry at her parents for their decisions.

in a rather absurd dynamic in which she first asks Mc to leave Jill if she wants to continue the relationship with her, and then later declares herself ready to drop everything if Jill asks

To be a teensy bit fair, Bella wanted MC to choose her or Jill, so he chose Bella. They were going to tell Jill, but just like the MJ reveal, Jill learned about it at the most inopportune time. But yeah, she was ready to drop us if needed Idk if she'd feel the same way now though.

Unless there's some dramatic twist that reveals a darker death for Lana, I don't see any future Jill drama stemming from her sister's death. She's definitely handling it the best of the three Royces.
It could've served as a mirror to MC and his dead mother, but he hardly knows anything about her. He's probably going to learn her surname at the end of the diary, instead of ever asking Neil about it in 19 fucking years.

Probably has already been asked here before, but do you people thing BaDIK only will follow Tremolo's first year of college, or we might see larger timeskips in the future (because I noticed we started to have some timeskips). Yeah, I know it could create issued with the Sage route (she's not very far from finishing college if memory serves me right), but it would still be interesting. No matter the path DPC takes, it sure would be nice to see an epilogue of sorts of Tremolo's life after college. With whomever he chooses as his love interest, of course.

As a main-Jill guy I must say, Lana's story haven't got a hold on me yet, still pretty vague to me, the only emotional moment related to that that I can remember is Jill talking to MC after their first time that they hold hands and she talks about destiny (the reference to Lana here is the moon through the window). Also when they're at the lake and they talk about music and songs Lana liked, but it's not deep enough.

About the break ups, is one of my favorite emotional moments of the game, I like the dialogues, but as I said before, I rather see a bit more of conflict even if in some specific cases only, like Jill if you pick Bella, I'd like to see Sage sad and/or mad if you pick Jill over her.

About the throuple with Jill and Bella, I gonna say it again: would ruin Jill, makes absolutely no sense for her character, it would be pure porn-logic if she joins. The only threesome possible with Jill that I somehow see happening is with Bianca if the two of them decide to "party like old times" and get enough drunk for that. And IF that happens, I really hope for a regretful and ashamed Jill afterwards. Jill is too prude to be bi or experimental with sex, she found it hard to understand when MC slaps her butt during sex scene for god sake! How quickly something has to escale (yeah, bring the meme in) for that to make sense? The other possibility is her finding out somehow that Lana was bi and experimental in sex and trying to emule her big sis, but I would also see this as a long shot.

I think Sage is the reference for the game because of her graduation, but I only see the first year and the some epilogue with your ending.

We're about halfway through the game and we're halfway through the school year, so it's more likely that the game will close with the first year of college, but I think at least at the epilogue level it will go further by having us spy on the fate of the characters

BADIK only covers MC's first year. If it were the whole college experience we'd be looking at a total of 60+ episodes done around 2080.

There are ways for graduating student characters to stick around if the story were to continue, but I expect the various endings of year one to make it clear that that was the year all the drama happened. Either you get a good end and the rest of college is a happily ever after or you get a bad end and it's living with the trauma ever after.

I certainly prefer a more serious and dark tone to a story. Over a collection of shallow sideshows with zero depth, trying to be funny IE: Derek, Tybalt etc. I don't particularly have a high opinion of this style of writing. It's a good thing that my preferred path seems promising with the gloomy side of things.

I'd love to elaborate more about that, but I will not lower myself into the pits of simping about it though. I still have some self respect.

Derek is epic. Also I fucking love the scene in the car with Tommy mumbling jokes if Derek has fucked the old teacher.

What if Tybalt were given some tragic backstory that explains his pathetic behav—oh wait.
Yeah he's 100% comedic relief, on top of serving as a secondary antagonist. Sage explained it pretty well, Tybalt shed his filthy commoner skin and fully embraced being a rich snob, and thankfully that pushed Sage in a different direction. I mean maybe we could get a flashback to their time as orphans to give some more detail, but as far as Tybalt is concerned it wouldn't really matter.

I think we'll only get that in Sage's branch

Derek is epic. Also I fucking love the scene in the car with Tommy mumbling jokes if Derek has fucked the old teacher.

The scene was funny. But it really showed Tommy about to be a total dick. Jacob's barely called the secret code and Tommy's breaking it. He's supposed to be the VP and he just doesn't give a shit. He's just a dick, not a DIK. But no one calls him on it. (And then he breaks it again if you on J&M path).

We've seen how Jill thinks she should feel and act, but there is a complicated woman about to break out of that shell. Just about anything is on the table for how she really feels and wants to act.

Now that you mention it, a flashback from Jade's point of view of the process of adopting Sage and Tybalt would be exactly the sort of thing DPC does at the start of an episode. I have a feeling that episode 11 is going to focus on Sage regardless of path and that flashback would fit right in. We could see her ignore everything Stephen tries to say about it and how it really is both of them who have messed up that marriage. Sage is going to have soooo much baggage to check on this trip to memory lane.
